Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix rear radar blocked sensor error?
I tried a soft reset and can’t seem to find the radar sensors.
R1S manual page 13 shows where the sensors are. Behind the bumper??
Any tips appreciated. Have to drive in a lot of traffic and would like radar to...
Not biased at all …. but I’d 100% go with R1S Quad. Great vehicle overall.
BUT, to manage expectations…
- Expect hit or miss reliability (obv brand new company and we are Beta Testers), - - Expect some wind noise (especially with roof racks)
- Expect very accurate range estimates (good!!)
Weather has been slightly warmer and about 1,500 miles driven.
I’ve heard rumors that batteries can indeed be broken in after the first few cycles. Not sure if this is true, but would kinda make sense.
When I first got my R1S Quad I would average about 1.8-2mi/kWh. Now I easily hit 2.5mi/kWh while enjoying the acceleration safely.
Is it possible the vehicle is “loosening” up and getting more efficient?
The R1T is longer but feels a little small than R1S. It feels like a midsized truck. Would be cool if base R1T started at $60-70k and then have a R1Tx for $100k+ with slightly more aggressive styling. (Think Ford Raptor or R3X)
definitely shouldn’t drop it. Just drop the price haha. R1S can easily be $70-100k but the R1T just feels too small to be in the price range. Should be sub $70k
No, completely serious! Really. It behaves strangely when calculating efficiency downhill. It'll either say 0.00 or 4.00. I want to see the mi/kWh approach infinity, or at least set the limit to 99kw/kWh. ? (I'm serious!)
It would be nice to NOT have a limit on mi/kWh. Appears to be limited to 4…
But why? Let’s say my trip is essentially all downhill. mi/kWh could essentially be 99+
I don’t see a reason to limit it to 4 mi/kWh.
Please update this in a future software update Rivian ?
Those look shockingly similar to the cupholders I designed ? You are a good sense of designing for FDM, and for designing parts in general. Do you have any engineering background?
Cost of first month of driving and charging almost exclusively at my warehouse from 9am -> 4pm:
I've driven a little over 1000 miles. I've charged at EA and EVgo a couple time just to try them out. Pretty much exclusively charge level 2 during business hours. Shocked at how little it raised my...
I was between a Model X Plaid and R1S Quad:
One situation made the choice very easy:
I needed to transport 4x8 sheets from Home Depot. The Model X cant have roof racks. I regularly need to transport supplies. Therefore, I chose the R1S.
That was the moment I decided on Rivian.
Also, I...
Yeah Florida -> New York -> Nashville show about 45 in stock. San Fransisco shows only 4 available. Los angeles/ Orange County show zero. Odd!
(congrats on the purchase btw!)
