It's such a hard sale - especially for those with early pricing. 3,500 really doesn't move the needle in making the upgrade make financial sense. I still want one though, lol!

That makes it more palatable. If I pulled the trigger it would be on a lease, but no way I would want to trade in my equity towards a lease. Still don't think I could pull the trigger due to the price difference, but it has me looking at the shop again, lol.

A missed delivery forecast does not correlate with an eminent earnings restatement. Good thing Amazon is Rivian's largest stockholder - that and the VW partnership may be the only thing that gets them to the R2 release. They'll get bought or bailed out in some way shape or form before...

It's a tough spot though - they couldn't keep giving them away at well under cost either. It's a much harder sell at the current price point - although DM is still ok I think. The TM and QM pricing is a little insane though.

I never used to connect to wi-fi until they started deprioritizing those who don't a few months ago. Then I started just using the hotspot on my phone for 30 min or so to trigger it. If I'm paying for connect+, I really don't want to have to jump through hoops to get an update. We'll see how...

Does Rivian still send updates over LTE? I don't have wifi access anywhere my vehicle goes, and the last few updates I've made an effort to connect from my phone hotspot. It's a complete pain, and I'm not in a hurry to get the latest update, but seems it may never come if I don't connect to wifi?
