Well thanks. Now I don’t have to excitement. :). My left strap is loose not doing much my right side is tensioned. I didn’t think to ask service to shorten one. Sounds like I should keep them on though.
These back tailgate straps appear to not really support the tailgate. The hinges appear to do all the work.
I am considering removing 1 or both for tailgating camping reasons. Anyone else removed these perhaps for a short duration. They appear to just be there as a backup. Belt and suspenders...
Same thing for me. Soft reset and 2 hard resets only worked momentarily. Certainly wide spread and perhaps related to their soon to be released paid service.
Fair, but this only upgraded the motor. We could say max pack is also a refresh or upgrade from launch addition, but virtually all other systems and components in R1 have not been touched at least in a meaningful way from the beginning. Other OEMs had more time to leap-frog the R1T but in many...
Interesting that Rivian is the oldest vehicle on the list from a release stand point. Wonder how things will stack up when Rivian is able to do a refresh of the R1.
I thought a small R2T that was the size of a Hyundai Santa Cruz would be popular. I don’t think thank size would eat into R1T sales. Just helpful to have a small bed for cargo sometimes rather than enclosed. Especially cool if they offered a popout roof hatch option. I know they have...
We are 2 days away. Like I tell my kids before Christmas be patient. Live the excitement though.
something I am disappointed on is there appears to be no spare rack on the tailgate which I would expect for this class of vehicle. But perhaps that will be an option.
Perhaps I waved out your R1S. I was in SG for the parade of homes recently. Great that you were able to get the fix. It’s sad how Utah is so limited in fast charging options. Considering how many EA and RAN options exist in AZ,CO and NV. Utah is truly a fast charger desert. I’m not sure why.
The list is good. My thoughts…
1. This is Rivian’s 4th at least layoff. From 2022 Rivian has easily shed 25-30% of salaried workforce maybe more.
2. They are already doing this, besides a lower trim level “explore” package not sure what else could be done to lower price point. Higher end...
Curious does anyone know if Rivian had power outlets in the cargo area? Seems like a great way to power tools for these types of applications. I don’t remember if that was shared in any of the Amazon delivery van videos.
I read somewhere but now I can’t find it that the Tesla would release access in phases based on their contract order.
meaning Ford would be first then GM then Rivian down the line. When Tesla opens to Ford will be a good indication of when how long it will take them to enable this for Rivian...
After going into reverse and then back to drive Rivian will switch to the last app you were using before it went into reverse. For me I realized that parking in the garage I would often turn on the camera to park going forward. So having it switch back to that camera view after reversing it...
This is all for fun/bragging rights. But it seems maybe a Truck Triathlon or Decathlon is in order.
off road rock crawl. Followed by track mode. Followed by towing challenge. All with the same truck no modifications after starting. What ever else makes sense.
Try Trent Warnke. Perhaps [email protected]
the RAN setup in Utah is desperately needed you see Colorado and Arizona next door with great build outs and Utah with all the national parks, nothing.
