Quick question as I picked up my R1S this morning. Does 2023.10.0 supersede 2023.6.2? I was told that I 2023.6.2 was the latest software this morning.

Most definitely. But if it slides like in the video and as seemingly reported by others, the quick disconnect should minimize damage to the vehicle’s charging port and the charging cable. Just an idea.

This is a perfect argument supporting a “quick disconnect” feature added to these charger cables; similar to what they have on the pumps at the gas station for safety in case someone drives off and forgets to take the pump out of the car. Not like I’ve ever done that…or anyone has ever said...

I got a VIN and then BAM!…maybe a week later at best the note to schedule delivery which was surprising new math for 6-8 weeks. But I understand they’re just trying to get them out as best they can. I drive by their “staging lot” a little too much and see a lot of Ts and a few Ss. Portland...

To balance out the posts on further delays, I’ll add that Rivian delivery updates do work in the positive…the extreme positive. My email yesterday which was followed up by a text indicated my vehicle was ready to be picked up…next week!

10/19 preorder, quoted June/July ‘22 delivery of a LE R1S…never cancelled my preorder during “Pricegate”, haven’t changed my configuration since initial “order” and I haven’t received either of the last two emails. I’m wondering if these are going out to just R1T deliveries?

I haven’t gotten the last two emails either after having gotten all the other correspondence in the past. Oh well.

Happy everyone’s getting their R1Ts! In my neighborhood I’ve had four sightings in the last week of a Limestone, a couple of LEs and a LA Silver. Brings a smile to my face while I wait for my R1S! Congrats!

I think he updated yesterday saying it was a mistake. They accidentally matched him with a T not a S. He discovered the mistake when arranging insurance; GEICO kept trying to quote him based on the VIN he was assigned…which was for a truck not the SUV he has reserved.
