I thought about it but in the end once they let us get a Gen2 I knew would kick myself for letting such a deal slip by.
I sound like my wife after buying some crazy expensive purse saying "but it was on sale!"
Just picked up my Gen 2 Dual R1T and my SC Advisor said the same thing about the tires and specifically showed me how to turn off Auto. I don't recall if he told me that it goes back to Auto after 4 hours (as it says in the manual) and I don't think he knew that.
There was a lot of discussion about Leasing not being available to pre-order pricing/voucher holders. See thread here. I was specifically told it was not by a Rivian Guide. However, that was a while back and that policy may have changed.
Hello all,
Taking delivery of an El Cap R1T and considering a full PPF install. What is an expected install price for something like that (in California if that matters)?
The Stealth pictures here of the El Cap look super nice!
Thanks!
Thanks for Rivian Roamer! I'm trying to find a Gen2 R1T to use my pre-order pricing.
Have you noticed if there particular days of the week that Rivian updates their website inventory?
Thx.
@MidnightRivian Interesting that the pre-March (Early Reservation Holder) price is not eligible for Lease per the thread you linked (thanks!). I asked my Guide if the $7500 EV Tax credit would be part of the CCR and he said yes if I lease it would be knowing full well I was a reservation holder...
As an early QM reservation holder that has the lower price (and was given a delivery date in March 2024) it's going to interesting to see how they calculate the residual... will it be off the current MSRP (~$93K) or my Early Reservation Holder price (~$75K). Anyone taking bets?
FWIW... ChatGPT agrees with me ;)
You
Are residual values in auto leases calculated based on the MSRP or the amount paid for a vehicle?
ChatGPT
Residual values in auto leases are typically calculated based on the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of the vehicle, not the amount...
Thanks and will let you know.
"I wouldn't count on that though. As you probably know the cost of the lease is basically the difference between the price you pay and the residual at the end of the term plus the rent charge (interest charges) on the lease."
IMHO, that seems like some shaky...
I recently received notice that my R1T delivery is being scheduled in March 2024... a full 2+ years of waiting
I made the conversion to the Binding Purchase Agreement back in 2022 before the new tax rules were implemented. I see that a folks here have been successful in submitting...
I was also pushed 3 months for an pre-price hike R1T (ordered Jan 2022) from Feb/Mar 2023 to May/June 2023 with the very suspect Service Center excuse. I spoke with the local Service Center rep who recently gave me a demo ride and he just laughed and said to call 800-RIVIAN1.
Now if only I was...
