Well said and I completely agree. I've had my R1S for about a month now, and have held on to my Model 3 Performance just in case the Rivian had a major issue. I 100% love driving the R1S, but in a weird way its made me appreciate the Model 3 Performance even more. Just a really fun small car...

I share OP’s frustration as I await step 8 to open up over a week since my vehicle hit the service center. My guide is responsive but with vague variations if “soon”. I’m still going by the adage you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar but it’s trying my patience…
Mine has been at the service center for over a week. Hoping they are going over it with a fine tooth comb to correct anything they can before delivery.
Not sure I'm thinking about this properly, but since the pre 3/1 price is so favorable I opted to pay cash. Thought being its an inflationary hedge given the higher MSRP for new orders?
Feel like I'm twinning your situation. Same build outside of the underbody shield. Mine is at the service center as of Friday but stuck on Step 8. 8 is quickly becoming the new longest number! Thanks for all the pics! :)
I have a new guide as of today so I scheduled another status update call just to make sure I don’t fall through the cracks. Only new nugget from today is the revised ocean coast interior is going into production which might slow down the roll-out a bit.
