I have the standard 21" road tires. On Wednesday, we got 6" of light snow on top of ice. On Thursday, we got another 8". My driveway got plowed sometime on Wednesday. So, I had about 8" of snow on the driveway for most of Thursday. Clearance was fine. The driveway is on a steep reverse slope...
I'm going with the plate in the frunk style. Get pulled over for no front plates? Show them the plate and the mount and tell them you're waiting to take it to the body shop to get the holes drilled.
I've driven 911 without front plates for 20+ years.
My setup:
60 Amp breaker/240 V
Hardwired Chargepoint Homeflex
Issue: Rivian charges at 42 amps/10 Kw(at 20 or 50% SOC) rather than 48 amps/11 Kw.
The 48 amp option is greyed out on the dash charge screen. Chargepoint tells me that they can "see" 50 amps on the charger.
It's been cold here so...

Red R1T, large pack, adventure, tonneau.
What they dropped: full size spare, manual tonneau (still on order but won't be on vehicle until March), all weather mats. They dropped the full size spare ("you'll be able to order from the gear shop at some future date." = "we need every wheel and tire...
Canyon Red R1T, large pack, quad, 21".
Any insights appreciated as to when I can expect delivery.
8/2021: Ordered R1T with max pack.
11/2022: Dropped to large pack after I became convinced the max pack is never coming and weight issues.
12/30/2022: Received email to check configuration...
Two 48 A chargers. I had to trench about 100 feet of wire from our mains to this closet in the garage. So, trenching two 60 Amp circuits was about the same cost. Going to repaint the wall and the mounting board. I'm getting the R1T soon. R1S at the end of the year.
