I have an R1S quad. Unless you want to go off road and love the acceleration when you are alone you may want to consider a different car. I doubt that the upgrade will solve all the problems with porpoising but it may be worth waiting and test driving the new model with your wife.

You have to do this once in your life. There is no car that is more than the R1S. All that time pining over some "special car" is over.

My Wife is testing full self driving in her MYP. Her co-worker, a neurosurgeon, swears by it as it drivers her home. I am glad we tried it as I disliked it and now have no interest in it.
