Iām definitely not superstitious!
Yesterday, I noticed that my 12/2002 R1T had just reached 80,000 miles! I do drive it a lot :)
But contrary to the usual web chatter, this truck has been amazingly reliable. A brake fluid change at 75K along with a wheel alignement due to Poughkeepsie Creek...
I just spent sĆ“e time with Rivian employees at the charging Outpost in Joshua Tree, CA. Theyāve be been told there are 300,000 reservations! They should be teceiving their demo R2 before April 1. Iāll be there to see it! Unless they appear first closer to me in Laguna Beach or Irvine.
While visiting the āBlockā in Orange,CA I saw a familiar set of chargers just N of the Dave &Busters . I talked to a Rivian employee who said it will be operational this month!
This is about a mile W of the location on the official RAN map.
Great news fo Rivians in CA. And anyone driving...
I hadnāt checked in a while but good news! Monticello and Beaver RAN stations operational says Rivian map. Someone get an excuse to visit them and report :)
Time for Spring trip to Moab!
I just did the classic roads near Durango. I definitely wanted off road wheels and tires. And I did hit the skid plate a few times. Sliders are also an issue if you donāt want ANY body damage. I consider my R1T a truck so body damage is a sign of experience :). Although just a few scratches...
Get the model you want. Donāt count on inventives as a deciding factor. If you need it sooner and get something close to what you want. My three cents after 3 years and 75K miles of happy motoring :)
