One thing to note is that the Commerical form factor isn't shown yet. I'm pretty certain it will be an extended cab so that truck bodies can be used to replace the bed. The needs of the commercial segment is too important for Ford to forgo. This is why the panther platform lasted so long.
That's my understanding as well. I'm assuming this is XLT trim. Lariat is approx 7k more on the ICE version than XLT. I expect a Lariat Lightning w/ the Twin panel moonroof to land around 70k before Federal Incentives.
It's buried in the NY times article. 59k for the extended battery

BUT, I think the frame is pretty plug and play with say, an expedition body on top. I wouldn't be surprised if an Expedition EV came out in the next year.

It goes without saying, people should check their local credit unions. I'm member to 5 credit unions, and found that one of them a rate of 1.49% for up to 84 months (Stanford Federal CU, in this case.)
Yeah, but if you compared a LE R1 vs one of those, and were planning or needing to purchase this year; that's the reality you are faced with. Alot of the automakers are also starting to like fat profits over volume, so this may be changing after the pandemic related surge ends anyways...
Unfortunately due to strong demand, people are paying sticker and above (!!!) for cars right now. This is particularly acute in the full size suv space

He's not wrong. 3500 chargers is super aggressive and I think Rivian is already behind on that. Alot of EA chargers take at least 18 months to build due to power and other real estate requirements.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I don't think these are standard bumpers. The shapes of the bumper and the cutouts for the license plate are different when compared to the standard ones pictured in the configurator. I wonder if they are optional (1st or 3rd part) accessories?
These bumpers (both front and rear) are markedly different in shape; at least compared to the configurator images. I wonder if these are partner accessories (like maybe ARB), or a Rivian installed accessory. regardless, this doesn't look like the standard bumpers
The auto press and manufacturers are typically quite symbiotic (Tesla excluded). It's common practice an auto manufacturer to get some early units on hand to actually gauge some feedback to do final adjustments. Many get to the point to hire journalists to consult on feedback. At the same...
