We were the first to get an EV in the family back in 2017 (used model S). Since then, the rest of the family has joined. Nothing like riding in an EV to get it.
Seems to me that charging anxiety should be alleviated quite a bit in next couple years between Ionna, Walmart and Tesla v4 chargers.
Did a road trip to Moab a couple years ago that sucked due to EA performance. I am going back this spring and there are 2 new Tesla SC, 2 Ionna stations and a...
I live in CA and previously drove a Tesla, which required almost zero planning. It's a bit more cumbersome on long road trips in the Rivian but that's about to disappear.
I get the sales pitch for newbies. Us EV OGs understand don't have that range anxiety, especially with the growing charging infrastructure. EREV are a compromise whose only plus is to promise folks that they will never run out of battery range. In the last 100,000+ miles of BEV driving, that...
It's definitely not the best of both worlds. Hello oil change, smog test, maintenance and gas station fill ups. No thank you. We got a dual max performance R1S. It has all the range I need. For me the perfect EV needs 400 miles of range and 15 mins fast charge 10-80. The Cayenne EV seems...
EREV suck unless you really need the range. No more frunk, going to a gas station, oil change, cat converter will be stolen because they're barely used and full of expensive metals. But, if it gets people used to EVs then it's awesome.
I don't really need megawatt charging but I would love the new Cayenne charge rate. 15 mins 10-80 is the sweet spot. Just long enough to pee and/or get coffee. I don't have a need for 5mns charging.
I believe that the Cayenne has dual cooling plates which allows a higher and longer charge...
