Yup this is correct. It is supposed to disconnect above ~18 mph or thereabouts in low accel/decel scenarios.

Is there a momentary ramp up in the torque on acceleration from a steady 25mph (when the rear may be disconnected) or is it immediate on the DMP when you quickly floor the accel?

From what I've read here and on Reddit so far, range on quad conserve and dual perf is very similar so I'm not too concerned on that front.

I've also heard that the 0-60 time is more attainable for the dual than the quad (for their respective times of 3s and 3.5s) but yes I agree it is probably really hard to measure the difference at those accelerations.

I wonder if this is because the rear is disengaged during low acceleration scenarios and if you suddenly accelerate it will either take a few milliseconds for it to reengage or wait to make sure you're accelerating for long enough before reengaging?
