Good post @SoCal Rob Just checked my camera and saw a yellow R1T pull up along our curb wait a little bit and drive off. Nobody got out of the vehicle. Wife usually hears very well, except occasionally when I am talking, and was waiting with no vacuum or other noise makers.
Thanks for educating me and others who were not aware, and missed this standard procedure being explained when the appointment was booked. Surprised the two Rivian employees I talked that night didn't state this.
Had a mobile service scheduled this past Monday and I was travelling so left my wife details to take care of it. Service was scheduled for 3:30-5:30, and I received a text around 3 and a call, both which I missed since I was working. Not sure if the tech went to my house, but they definitely...
Thanks for the report @jeeden . From NVA also and planning a late July trip to southern Maine. Would love to have my Rivian adapter, but not holding my breath. Any Tesla magic docks en route you are aware of where I wouldn't need the adapter?
Love to see the numbers on this:
There's no doubt in my mind that the refresh vehicles are every bit as expensive to manufacture (if not more) than the OG vehicles.
Won’t production costs decrease with less wiring, in house motors, less chips etc…?
Now all we need is at least one more 21" lightweight (41#) all-season with the three peak mountain snowflake (3PMS) certification (perform in severe snow conditions) tire.
Curious how the R2 size will compare to the Tesla Redwood, and R3, if smaller than the R2 to the smallest planned Tesla and the Fisker Pearl.
Will be very interesting to see who produces what the fastest. Would put my money on Tesla, Rivian, then Fisker.
Saw my first Fisker Ocean in the wild in the local library garage. Practically accosted the guy, and got a quick tour and his feedback. He said it drives better than his Model Y, interface not even close to the Y and he has lost about $10k already on it.
Back hatch is way to narrow and no go...
