Looks like the rollout might be on pause - Rivian Roamer had 1,942 downloads on Tuesday, 603 yesterday, and only 65 today (of their 5,899 enrolled vehicles), so only 44% got the update. I wonder if they want to fix the issue of mistaking local slow chargers for DCFC (noted in Jose's video linked...
Most difficult adjustment for me is increasing/decreasing UHF speed with right scroll wheel instead of adjacent left/right arrows (which now adjust driving style - mild/medium/spicy). I keep trying to increase speed and turning on spicy instead. It'll take awhile to gain muscle memory on this.
Yeah I thought the drop yesterday was excessive concern for Osborning the R2 (they could discount the initial R2s if the Gen 3 sensor suite isn't ready by launch). I got in yesterday when the stock was down around 8%. After watching the live stream, it's clear to me that Rivian has bigger...
Installed Goat Sliders this past spring. Had 7,500M rotation by Rivian mobile tech a few months ago without an issue. I specifically asked if the sliders interfered at all and he said no.
I've driven on the Outer Banks beaches several times aired down to Rivian's recommended ~30psi (on 20" AT tires) without an issue... until yesterday. Got bogged down in soft sand, frame almost sitting on the sand (even at highest air suspension). Aired down further to ~20PSI and with a litle...
One AT option, though a bit pricey, is Pirelli's new XTM Elect tires. Certainly getting good reviews. Pirelli featured Rivians during its Media Day release back in April. Maybe soon to be Rivian's OEM AT option? My stock 20" Scorpion Plus tires are still pretty quiet at 10K miles, but I'm...
I'm very happy with my rock sliders from Goat Fabrication. They do not cover the jack points. Recently had my 7,500m service with tire rotation and the Rivian mobile service tech said the sliders did not interfere at all.
Yep this is a thing. Good review here by this youtuber:
I posted about the same problem - https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/battery-overheating.28898/post-818381.
Haven't had any issues since - I think mine was an extreme case, I'd already driven 8 hours straight, 100º ambient...
Yep I got the same text too - the Rivian rep I spoke with said there is very little risk of being stranded (despite the text saying "may even require a tow"), and yes this is related to early 12V battery leaking/degradation. The rep said I would likely get 12v battery warnings and/or significant...
I left my Gen 2 R1S unplugged outside for 3 weeks in New England in April, with several days below freezing. Went from 70% to 55%, or about 5% per week. I had put it in Camp Mode and turned Manage Energy to Stay Off. This allowed me to check the app every few days (was on a cruise) but still...
My experience is hit-or miss. Most times the phone works great, but sometimes I have to press and hold the driver's side door handle for about 5 seconds. That usually works. When that fails, I open it with a shortcut on my Apple Watch (hat tip to this video).

Still not as robust as my...
I've taken our R1S on the beach several times without an issue - airing down is by far the most important trick here. You need a permit to drive on the beach in Cape Hatteras, and when you buy one, you get this sticker. I know Rivian recommends no lower than 31 PSI (for the 20" all terrain...
