Ford's head of EVs explains how the new F-150 Lightning conquers range anxiety (msn.com)
Hope R1T/S beats F-150 and also underpromise and overdeliver. Rivian still not announcing range details and when 800V/350Kw charging will be available for LE is very concerning.
LOL... we all share the same level of frustrations. Let's be practical, June delivery is not happening at this time based on level of information shared.
Agreed, don't think there will be any CT in 2021. Also, they need to fix battery manufacturing for 4680 to scale up. Believe Elon, in Q1 earnings call, mentioned 4680 volume manufacturing is 12 to 18 months away. So 20-25k volume production immediately is not to going to happen.
I chose Test Drive, EPA numbers and see all the colors.
Don't think I can purchase/finalize without seeing in person and test drive. My wife keep asking me how can you buy a 80K car from a new company with no track record.
So we have to see it in person before finalizing.
Great find. One more item cleared in my pre-buy checklist.
Warranty is better than Tesla, don't know how it compares to Lucid.

Noticed a small screen below the vents in center console at 20 sec mark in the video. Like newer Tesla S/X, seems R1S/T will also have 3 screens two in front and one in second row.
I will not finalize my LE without seeing and test driving.
Not going to spend 75k+ in a first edition vehicle from a brand new company. Tbc, I like Rivian but not mad enough to spend 75k+ without seeing the vehicle in person.
The video is really cool. I was one of the very early Lucid Air reservation holder and canceled it after knowing the price is $160k+ and the cheaper version is available only in 2022.
Hope Rivian can ramp up their communications, announce their showroom locations and start test drive soon.
Don't think I'm ready give more data to google. I will never buy a car that uses Android Auto at any cost, both Google and car company need to clearly state their privacy policy, data usage by google, sharing of data with third parties etc.
Deal breakers: (LE R1S)
No ability to test drive
Interior dimensions: Second row legroom, based on data seems to be small. Need to see it in person before making purchase
Charging infrastructure
Potential deal breakers:
Good financing (low APR) or leasing option
Hoping 300+ means 330-350...
Agreed, don't think there will be price drop.
Hopefully they can speed up production and deliveries with more cash. Also, would be nice if they can throw free goodies to LE holders.
