Great attitude. I like your style. Plenty of catchy phrases with double-entendre (Twin Peaks).
I agree that you kids will laugh more when they figure it out.
Don't want to be a downer about the name, and the R1T looks great in Red Canyon, but you might want to check Urban Dictionary before using "red rocket" too broadly. There also is a recent dark comedy film about a former porn star (male) of the same name.
I had some curb rash on my Tesla Model S and Lincoln Navigator L.
I thought I'd have to buy some expensive wheels. Instead, I used Wheels Onsite to repair them. You cannot spot where the repair was. They do it at your work or home. I think it was $200 per wheel.
Worth a try if they or a...
CyberTruck. 1000 kw charging. Heat pump. Love the yoke on the Model S. Working automatic tonneau cover.
Range, frunk capacity, etc., remains to be seen.
I'll go with the enhanced dual-motor max pack if:
1. It has 800V (or better) architecture;
2. There is some effective mechanism (lockers, mechanical limited slip or equivalent) for high off-road traction; and
3. I have some confidence in the reliability and performance of the new setup...
I have a three car garage, the Rivian R1T won't be parked in it (if they ever build the Max Pack) as it is too long.
Builders don't put in large enough garages. I was spoiled by my previous home where the sellers had put in longer bays with room for tools and storage on the back and sides.
I'm adopting more of a wait and see approach. If we are locked in to a current spec R1T in 2024 (no opportunity for an upgrade to 800V, etc.), even with the pre-March 1 price, competitors may be introducing better options.
I think this is an economic incentive problem. I'm not sure how much (if any) Tesla makes in profit on its Supercharger network. It is, however, clearly a driver for Tesla sales and a real competitive advantage for Tesla. They also realize economies of scale in the standardization of the...
R1T Max Pack - January to December 2004. I placed my order in June 2019, so it looks like I'm also on the 5-year plan. Good to see at least two other members who have the Forest Green with the Bright 20" wheels.
Looking on the bright side of this ("Always look on the bright side of life" - Life...
As SeaGeo notes, the problem is that the R1T is designed for the automatic tonneau. The space where it stores is otherwise unuseable (at least as far as we know).
I wouldn't have a problem with a manual tonneau if there was a decent storage option. Doesn't make sense to give up gear tunnel...
Since placing my order in June 2019, I've gone from LA Silver / Black Mountain to Red Canyon / Black Mountain, back to LA Silver / Black Mountain, and now to Forest Green / Forest Edge.
I have a black Model S with Stealth Xpel, so I'm not looking for a black or dark gray truck. LA Silver...
I did put ceramic over the Xpel Stealth PPF. It was not an Xpel ceramic product. Xpel now recommends not using anything but their ceramic products. They stand behind the Xpel warranty for the film, but I need to have the installer perform an annual inspection.
If I remember correctly, Xpel...
The Tesla stalk works the same way. However, on the 2021+ Model S, it is swipe up on the screen for D and swipe down for R. There is an image of the car pointing up on the screen where you swipe.
It makes logical sense, but it is counter to stalk implementations and the PRNDL shifters we've...
