It didn't trigger gear guard when they backed into me. But they were still there so we took photos of their car and license plate. I have a photo of his Drivers License also.
He was around, we saw it happen from a distance. I talked to him. He didn't have his insurance card on him but said he did have insurance. So it's unclear if he actually has insurance but he assured us multiple times that he does.
I took a photo of his drivers license, license plate, and got...
I haven’t filed a police report, do you think I should in this situation?
I have multiple witnesses and fault was obvious.
I’ve already filed a claim with insurance.
The accident happened in OR, but I’m based in CA.
It's a bit hard to see in my photos but the tailgate and the quarter panel are dented in a just a tiny amount. So that needs to be fixed too.
But yeah, won't be on me to pay for it, but I do hope it's on the lower end.
Saw this happen from a distance, an early 20s kid in a busted up 2013 Honda CRV backed into my R1T in a parking lot.
None of the dents are too deep, but they are there, and it does seem like the paint is scratched up some.
Got his info and started a claim with my insurance. Very curious to...
In the Bay Area you basically assume any RV or Van parked on the side of the road or in a parking lot is someone’s full time home. So less stealth camping, and more this is where they live.
yeah it’s really bad, especially in heavy wet snow. In one Tahoe storm last winter I had to stop 3 times in 15 miles to clear snow off the headlights. They collect a sheet of show and then don’t really light up the road at all.
it’s actually pretty dangerous.
Sorry to hear you had such a negative experience with the XC40. Mine was overall positive with my C40.
I had a 2022 C40 for a year before I got my R1T and I regularly regret selling it. I wish I'd held onto it as a 3rd car. It did amazing in the Tahoe snow except when the snow was really too...
I’ve used State Farm for a long time and use them for homeowners, auto and an umbrella policy.
This includes insuring my R1T.
I’ve never filed a claim with them, so haven’t really tested the part that really matters.
They have been easy to work with. Most everything goes through the local agent.
I read through most of the DOJ complaint and in general I find it pretty weird.
A lot of the facts are just wrong, which makes me call into question the entire thing. One of the first ones that really stood out was the DOJ claiming the Microsoft anti-trust case caused Microsoft to allow...
We haven’t been stranded in traffic, but I have my 5th service appointment scheduled to fix my R1T. The tailgate doesn’t want to latch.
The worst issue was the AC going out last June, weeks after we got the truck, while on a road trip to Napa in the heat. Limping to the Service Center an hour...
I just had this issue show up yesterday. My wife was using the truck and had opened the tailgate to put her skis in the bed. Then it wouldn’t close.
it showed a “Not working” warning for the tailgate in the dash.
I was finally able to slam it closed, but it only feels like it’s latched on the...
Yeah it's been a lot of rain, not much snow.
I do want snow, I live in Tahoe for the snow, last season was the season of a lifetime. This one is starting out with a whimper. The Ski resorts are all trying to survive on snowmaking. But maybe things will shift and we'll see a real winter.
Yeah, will be interesting to see if it is proactive about blending the braking to prevent having to limit regen, or if it just starts blending once it gets to limited regen. Either way, if one pedal is a lot more consistent, I'm going to be happy.
