You know the saying, 'there's no replacement for displacement'. Same goes for kWh and current battery technology. Rivian's likely sticking with 149-kWh in the Quad, which is no match for 200-plus monster pack GM is putting in its trucks.
If you can wait until next year, the Chevrolet Silverado...
First Gen Quad Large here- If I could do it over again, it would be Gen 2 Dual Large - range difference between Large and Max is negligible in real world (22 miles more for the Max Pack) vs EPA. Also, consider max payload if you would be hauling stuff or installing a topper camper.
quad vs dual...
Rivian should at least include a 12V battery health status widget on the dash center console- and yes, make the 12V battery easily accessible in future refresh.
It would be interesting to read posts about long term effects of exceeding max payload on Rivians for sure- unfortunately, it would likely be from 2nd or third owners who may not be aware of previous usage of the truck pushed way past its rated limits.
Dual Motor? What does the the driver side door sticker in your R1T say about max payload?

Which kind of silicone sealant? Do you have a link?
I’m kind of worried making the problem worse if the sealant has wrong kind of adhesive or not applied correctly
Thanks in advance!
Hi- anyone have experience with fixing window plastic trim popping off? The rain is making it worse, and I am afraid of water build up inside the door.
I submitted for mobile service, but no one from Rivian will come until October 24th. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Rivian community surely appreciate this!
It is somewhat sad to need third party solution for defective wireless charger that Rivian should have fixed in 2nd gen.
Before I purchased mine, it was 'Sale Pending' multiple times over span of two months before becoming available for me to finally purchase. I am not sure Rivian's rationale for the long drawn out 'Sale Pending' status, but for me, it made it easier to track the R1T I wanted once it became...
Yeah there are too many unknowns and risky to buy from them at this time- third week of August is pickup for the topper for our R1T. I will post my experience with the topper and company then.
We’re very grateful for this list and hope you continue updating the list as more vendors explore this market.
The demographic for this type of camper understands what it is and the value it offers.
Again, thank you!
