EVSEs are all about the same, they are very dumb devices. There are better options for less than the Rivian. I have a $100 Godiag that works fine with my various EVs.
The phone mounts would put incredible leverage on the mount point with an iPad. Also, to just watch, or does it need to be close enough to use actively?
I think you should look at solutions that employ a suction cup from the windshield. Ugly, but it's just for the trip right? No mods, no...
No, I created the confusion, I know you said firmware updates are free. I was agreeing that's how it has to be, and that you're doing it right. Subscribing for new features is also a perfectly acceptable business model. I was trying to address some of the whining about a subscription, while...
I don't care about a very inexpensive subscription in terms of the dollars, but two things:
I'm just so overwhelmingly tired of 15 charges for subscriptions every month.
I really do not care about any of the other stuff besides CP. But updates shouldn't be charged for, and that's a hard line...
No, that's not how they work.
I currently have two CP add on systems and a third on the way. None do audio. I mean, they could if forced to, but you shouldn't. One specifically warns you that it will be bad.
They will work, just like they work now. If the phone is your source for...
CarPlay units do not touch the audio at all. Your phone still sends BT to the truck as always and the CP unit is basically a remote control.
It's definitely the techie in my that questions the actual usability/UX on this.
This sounds quite terrible, though I'm definitely prissy about UI/UX since that's part of my job. Maybe if it could be mounted on the screen itself, but still, sounds awful.
Why not use one of the add-on CarPlay units? The only difference with this is leveraging the huge screen, but I don't...
Oh, another question I have that I couldn't find answered. In the video there's a click with every screen switch. What is that? A physical, clicky switch somewhere? A remote control? What exactly causes the UI to change?
Most of these questions are answered with the many videos on the site. Go watch them.
The question NOT answered at all in text or video is exactly what to do for installation.
Ah yeah, maybe they shorted you. Did you get two sets of child seat hardware too? (Bag of plastic clips to help support baby seat straps.). The compressor kit should have a bag of tire sealant also.
I think maybe that's only for states that need it? I don't really know. What you are missing might depend on your specific trim level. I know a friend's Launch Edition had a very complete air kit with a hose and pile of adapters in it. In a nice bag in the pocket of the gear tunnel. And the...
