2025 R1S for 6 months; never an issue with iPhone proximity locking.

With my 2025 RS1G2 which I got in September 2024, I found it cold (especially around the floor/feet) until I learned to set it on "HI" and turn on the heat 5min before I was ready to go somewhere. Have been toasty ever since.

Really tough experience for the OP. I think I would have given up in his shoes. Manufacturing (hardware and software build) is hard but can be improved. It is always a balance of cost and resources and when in startup mode that is even harder since you need to scale and also continue to evolve...

Good point @TexasBob … i guess the question is whether the Rivian navigation system uses only GPS or uses hybrid location leveraging WiFi and/or mobile networks. I think GPS signals can’t be picked up inside most buildings and so in my garage it must have been using WiFi and/or mobile networks...
