  1. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

It is true, once you feel the instant acceleration and quiet tranquility...I can't go back. I doubt many people will. What is wrong with Porsche acceleration, Cadillac quietness, and motorcycle fuel efficiency?
  2. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

Europe is always cheaper. BMW has announced the US starting price, you can be sure a decently optioned car will be $10k more than the published starting price.
  3. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

From BMW's website: "The first-ever iX3 50 xDrive is coming summer of 2026, with an MSRP starting around $60,000" I have owned 3 BMWs over the past 15 years. Besides Porsche and Mercedes, I can not think of a brand that has a bigger gap between "starting price" and "normally equipped price". My...
  4. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

But, the possible mistake is that the industry is quickly evolving to 800v...
  5. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

Agreed, the 300-mile range goal post has moved to 350 over the past year. I assume Rivian has been working hard on a better charging curve.
  6. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

The clipped corners of the main GUI are also horrendous. What function do they serve?
  7. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

I think the BMW's price will be 20% more than R2. I do like the display that runs under the windscreen. I wish Rivian would add a heads-up display. Displays behind steering wheels or to the right are problematic.
  8. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

The kidney grill, separated from its purpose of cooling in bygone BMWs, still looks goofy, albeit less goofy than the iX.
  9. 2023 Quad Heads-Up Display, Left Side Information is Gone

Mike Kantorski called it that in a you tube I watched this AM to figure it out. It sounded odd to me, but I assumed he knew. The manual actually refers to it as the driver’s display. I wish my Rivian had a proper heads up display!
  10. 2023 Quad Heads-Up Display, Left Side Information is Gone

The left side of my display behind the steering wheel no longer shows information. I used to be able to toggle between tire-pressure, Nav, and entertainment by holding the left side steering wheel button for a couple of seconds--is there a way to turn this on and off? It disappeared on a recent...
  11. 2024 Quad Motor vs. 2026 Dual

Did not mean a thing by it--just offering a different take. Sorry to offend.
  12. Gen 2 R1S QUAD: IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED BUILD?

    White/Ocean Coast/Normal bright 22s/Darkout package
  13. 2024 Quad Motor vs. 2026 Dual

I use Tesla chargers about half the time with my 2023--no problem. You are going to use an adapter with either choice.
  14. How to Improve Your Sound System Without Measurement Equipment

This is a long time ago, 1985ish. We used all active crossovers only on very large/expensive systems. Most systems under $3k or so used passive crossovers between the mid-bass woofers and tweeters. Generally, sub-woofers handled frequencies below 125ish Hz with their own large amp. The hidden...
  15. How to Improve Your Sound System Without Measurement Equipment

I agree, this is a good area of a sound system to keep flat and tailor other frequencies around. There are often resonance peaks just below this in the mid-bass area (100hz to 200hz) that usually need to be depressed. I am not sure I have ever not depressed the 125 or 150 band a bit. Back in...
  16. How to Improve Your Sound System Without Measurement Equipment

Great write up. I do think there is significant vocal content at 500hz also—the weight of the voice.
  17. Rivian showroom to open in Minnesota

Do you know the exact location?
  18. 2025.22.01 Apple Music login error for one driver only

You can use the same account but with a different device--MacBook or iPad. This worked for me.
