  1. Rivian repair by owner

Overall the minor stuff can be handled by us as noted in this thread. For the major suspension and electrical items you have 2 options in my opinion. 1) If going to keep vehicle past warranty than buy 1 of the 3 reputable extended warranty's that are on threads on the forum. Overall if you...
  2. If you say you are driving in Sport mode all the time, you are lying!!

I assume you have 22’s. That for sure is no go. With street 20’s it is doable.
  3. F-150 Lightning EV canceled. To be replaced with EREV Lightning (700+ miles range)

Only can tow 5k, very limiting. That is my main point from what we have seen so far. I will take 3 to 4 extra stops over a towing trip 2 or 3 times a year vs the hastle of having to deal with engine maintenance 100% of the year. Now if you tow weekly and they get an engine that can make the...
  4. F-150 Lightning EV canceled. To be replaced with EREV Lightning (700+ miles range)

If these EV extenders were so possible, wouldn’t Ram have there’s out already and dominating the market? The towing capability is likely to be very disappointing.
  5. Has anyone had Rivian NOT recommend the 3 year brake flush?

Unless tracking your vehicle or live in an extreme climate, 99% of people will be fine for a good 8+ years never flushing brake fluid. If you want peace of mind the listed item above is a great easy way to do it and save unneeded expense as well as waste perfectly good brake fluid.
  6. "Borealis" purple limited-edition paint color revealed!

Same thoughts lol. I priced one and is $50k+ more than my early reservation price. Amazing how great of a vehicle and a deal for us early adopters.
  7. Pebble Flow Electric RV Trailer - My First Journey Towing With R1T

Thanks for the right up. Waiting to see if company makes it and the resale values in a couple of years. Love that they really pushed boundaries, but just think needs to be a double axle.
  8. R1S - Owner Feedback Please - Do you recommend buying the R1S?

Yes, if you have home charging ability. I would recommend used Gen1, someone else paid depreciation and overall forum input is there are less issues. Also, look for 20 or 21 inch wheels, R1S needs extra sidewall for comfortable ride. I have over 50k and 5 years for my 2 R1's and only 2 home...
  9. "Borealis" purple limited-edition paint color revealed!

Who cares, I've learned to accept scratches. Im in the "Used to give too much of a damn about car exterior anonymous" :)
  10. 12-Month review: I can't recommend the R1S for most people

I will play as I have 2 Rivians and Model 3. I will stick with stock offerings. For example I like my Rivians with Comma better than FSD as FSD is great but doesnt allow enough user input. Quality - Rivian. Model 3 is what 6 years into production and I have had 2 tow warranty events in 18k...
  11. 12-Month review: I can't recommend the R1S for most people

Sorry you had the issues. Hope your next vehicle meets your needs. I have a Gen 1 R1T and R1S. Both have had only 1 service visit to my garage each. The T rides better but once I changed the 22's to 21's or 20's the ride difference isnt noticed anymore. For a new company I've been...
  12. Rivian May Be Much Closer to FSD Than You Think

Agree with you and why Comma is in my Rivians but most people aren't crazy like us and willing to install, have some growing pains, and learn with the system. They want from the factory which Tesla has delivered, finally. Would never pay the $8k but for the 2 months a year I need it, it is...
  13. Rivian L2 Charging Intermittently Pauses and Resumes

Its definitely the cord. As we both have same issue. Never have any issues charging direct from the charger. So far Tesla with adapter works fine, Mach e is about 60 40, Rivians stop but then restart after about 30 minutes and go on off, Audi just stops after 15 minutes and never restarts...
