No. It gets warm after plugged in for a while. I have to look for something heavier duty for constant use, but that is good enough for now until other try something else and share their findings
i was in the same conundrum when i got mine. I said why not for $500 since I can get rid of it without losing money.
When I got my house built, I got them to add a nema 14-50 and got a CP homeflex with my 1st EV (Volvo XC40 recharge). It works just fine when I got the R1T, it charges at 19...
If you hardwire, you can get the fastest charging possible. if they wont hardwire, can they just run the wires and appropriate breaker and terminate it in a box. You can easily connect to the EVSE.
I went full EV when the R1T arrived last December. No range issues to report. The other EV is the Volvo XC40 recharge. Its a surprising blast to drive that compact suv around.
This is something you will use everyday or every other day. I'd place it in the best position for most of the time.
It has a 25' cord you can use if the truck is in the other bay
