I am surprised for 1800 Rivian's cover uses plastic panels. I like that the interrobang panels do not require some locking mechanism they all interlock and release with just a pull of the panel. Simple and nothing to break.
It has been 95 degrees outside my truck was parked outside for 4 hours and the panels pulled out pretty good and inserted pretty smooth. I know some trucks the rails are tighter tolerances. Ask Bill the creator he can probably tell you how to make them slide in and out with heat expansion.
