  3. What Would You Like To See From Our Rivian Test? - Out of Spec

Do you think there will be a significant change in how R1T handle if the tent is mounted on the roof or the roof-mounted tent while weighing almost 100 lbs isn’t going to make any difference? Thanks
  4. ? RJ's Letter -- Making it Right -- REVERSING THE PRICE CHANGE FOR PREORDER HOLDERS

The only reason i wasnot able to cancel was i was busy driving and exploring in Death Valley where cell signal was non-existent. It wasn’t a priority either when i got to a wifi connection. However, the whole time i have been thinking it would have been nice to drive a Rivian on those trails...

  6. ? RJ's Letter -- Making it Right -- REVERSING THE PRICE CHANGE FOR PREORDER HOLDERS

I bought a Model Y last December after projecting i am not getting a Rivian early in 2022. I am intending on trading that for a Rivian (maybe) whenever i get my R1T preorder currently 2nd half of 2023 per Rivian’s timeline (which seems to be even later at the rate things are going.

  11. Share Your Charging Horror Stories

True on both points about Tesla charging. Tesla now has temporary fast chargers on skids. It’s still there of of today - not so temporary anymore it appears.
  12. Beginners' guide to EV charging?

Thanks for that info about Rivian charger. I installed a NEMA 14-50 Chargepoint on a 50A brkr at home. It automatically adjusts to 40A whenever i charge (a Tesla). I didn’t get a hardwired charger so i can plug-in other chargers or take my charger if i relocate.
  13. Beginners' guide to EV charging?

I imagine you can adjust the setting (in the vehicle or through the app) to only charge to the percentage you want… just like Tesla. (Sorry, I am still waiting for my R1T.)
  14. Beginners' guide to EV charging?

The continuous load (i.e., the charging current) can only be 80% of the ckt brkr rating. For a 60A brkr, approx 48A (ā‰ˆ 50A).
  15. Beginners' guide to EV charging?

If you don’t want to install a hardwired charger. Plug-in chargers can only be on a 50V branch ckt as far as i know.
