Don’t bother with calibration. I have switched between original 22s, 20s with 275/65/20, and OE 21s without any issues and no recalibrations.
My speedometer is actually more accurate with the 20s even though my truck is still programmed for the smaller 22s.
I’m getting ofdd behavior since 39.1 update. Started seeing 40-120 sleeps per day and equated to 10s of kwh loss. Then one day it seemed to go to normal (I may have done a reset I’m not sure) and then it started to do it again and it’s doing it now (just did hard reset today to see if it improves).
My Gen 1 has been draining like crazy ever since 39.1 was installed. I finally checked my ElectraFi closer and I see around 100 give or take sleeps counted per day after the update! Looks like it got better for a while and then went back to 50+ sleeps a day. And the sleeps are draining 5-10% or...
Mine didn’t pop up with it but when I checked hvac going to my truck after work it said it was 91 inside. It was about 40 outside and dark so it definitely wasn’t 91 ?
I too have the glitches with the garage opener too. Wasn’t popping up at home, hard reset fixed that, but now it pops up on...
Rivian wall charger is garbage. I have one and have had several issues with it. Plus it’s pretty dumb with no features like power sharing or data collection.
Best I’ve read about is the Tesla universal since it has both SAE and NACS plus they are reliable, not too expensive, and can be setup...
Thanks for the feedback! I may do that mount too just to avoid the overheating especially in road trips. I end up just plugging in the phone the old fashioned way and it doesn’t seem to overheat at all that way.
I spent half a day once removing every fuse one by one from both fuse blocks...
Oh that mount looks a little sturdier than the one I designed. Might have to give it a try.
Couple of questions:
1. Have you tried the phone charging much with direct sunlight? I have a MagSafe aftermarket console pad and works great unless the sun comes in, then the phone overheats pretty...
The 17” one does for sure as I did that for a couple of road trips. I used the box it came in as well and it fit perfectly in the spare wheel space (without a spare and divider, of course)
I have since upgraded to a Husky tub it fits nicely in but is too tall for the under trunk. But does fit...
That’s a great deal! I have the 17” one and love it. Got it for around $150 with coupon at Lowe’s. Since it’s only 1500W it works perfectly on the Rivian, as long as I don’t try to use another high powered device at the same time. I did that at a tailgate when someone tried to use a water boiler...
I don’t mind the Rivian setup, but I do think it would be better to have hard buttons for at least some of the HVAC, including the heated/cooled seats and wheel. A knob for audio volume would be nice to have too, though as the primary driver I just use the wheel control. It’s nicer for the...
Your arithmetic is off. It’s not 2021 anymore when EVs held their value. Many early adopters of Rivians bought because…that was the only choice. They didn’t launch leasing until later on (mid-2023 I think?). And then when they hiked pricing (March 2022) those with pre-price hike locked in, and...
Mine has been very unreliable for nearly a year now. Seemed like it was getting much better then started going downhill once it peaked. Never was nearly as reliable as Tesla and honestly it is getting more and more frustrating considering that fact. Now that it’s getting colder out it is even...
There are several other threads about this. I’m assuming the truck shows the message about the plug being warm?

this is their higher trim model that’s up for order, for now. Just like Rivian did they are first launching with the higher battery and power models. They are starting just under $80k for the Touring model, but that’s not available to order until 2025.
its supposed to be significantly roomier than the R1S third row. They are saying it’s closer to the space of a true 3-row like a suburban. Car C is the R1S and B is a Suburban. A is the EQS.
