I’m so sorry for your experience with your new R1S… it’s really frustrating.
I just used a top notch wheel specialist in Tempe and they didn’t even fix it so it’s definitely something with the suspension or tires…
I explained my experience with Rivian SC in this thread...
For sure man, thanks! I’m sure they did whatever they can but I didn’t like the fact that you pay a fixed rate no matter what needs to be done and if anything has to be done at all. I’m used to discount tire lol “If we can’t fix it, you don’t have to pay for it”.
Thank you for the advice. I went there and I was so excited when they told me they were able to lower the road force to around 1-3lbs on all 4 tires. It didn’t help. $300 down the drain :headbang: I guess I need new tires…
It doesn’t matter if they’re aware of it or not. That’s why there’s a TSB, so no one has to guess what needs to be done. Give them the TSB number and see when they can perform it. I’m sure there’s a threshold for when can they apply that repair so don’t be surprised when they say “Your A/C is...
992 Turbo S FTW!
Just as luxurious as a Ferrari, cheaper to maintain than a McLaren, more fun to drive than any of the other options that you mentioned(IMO).
Anyone who experience this issue, please contact Rivian support and let them know about it. They have to see that it's a large enough issue and it hasn't been fixed in the latest update.
I have to reset the infotainment system(RIGHT & LEFT BUTTONS) every other day now, since the big update that added the cel shading... gear-guard drive cam just stop working and the soft reset fix it for a day or two. SC told me to wait for the next update but the last two updated didn't help...
Looks like the difference will be in the orientation of the rad. In the Rivian, it is facing up, right in front of the frunk tub. In the Tesla it is facing down and under the tub.
DT has Hunter Road-force machines. They're not trained well enough to benefit from the features it has. They only know how to perform a simple wheel balance and give you the readout for the road force test. I tried Firestone and they didn't have the pucks, so can't service the Rivian... I'll try...
I use it to keep my coffee hot during the day... I measured the frunk to be over 160F one time while I was charging at 115F weather(everyday here in the Phoenix metro area lol)
I had a steering wheel shake at speeds over 65mph. Scheduled a service appointment; at the beginning they set it up as a mobile appointment and said they’ll send someone to diagnose it and perform a road force balance at my house.
I waited 2 months for the appointment. A week before my...
