Yeah, a bit of a mess, and they didn't even do that for everyone. My Canadian order still shows in USD. I'd love to pay in USD and not pay the extra few percent they snuck in there when making CAD pricing, but I'd bet that won't happen in 202? when I finally get my delivery.
Really hoping the 800v architecture coincides with the max pack deliveries. It would make sense why the max pack was delayed, and why the cost of the option is so high.
Seems that Rivian designed the bars to be as aerodynamic as possible. Also suuuper easy to remove, collapse, and store if not in use.
Regarding range loss for EVs, I'd expect that the impacts from poor aerodynamics to be more severe than for ICE vehicles given the efficiency of electric...
Not seeing a change here. I'm not worried, it will just take at least a few days for systems to be updated to be able to support customers with both old and new prices (post March 1st), and also be using the new option/trim selections (dual-motor, not automatically included tonneau cover)...
Welp. With today's price increase, the my config is over the 125k mark, so including the change from 15->20% total sales tax, the price increase is $24k! :oops:
15k extra for my config. This pushes the pricing past the Canadian (BC?) luxury vehicle tax limit, and adds a TON more taxes as result.

Ah yeah, that's key isn't it. Bought. I suspect investors won't be happy with the progress so far. If I'm wrong, that means deliveries for us all sooner rather than later! I still believe the company will do well long term, regardless of my willingness to bet against them in the short term.
