That's much better. I'd definitely be happy with that. Glad you got it sorted out.
I was at the SC today with my T to get the PAAK fixed and some other issues. While there, I explained I'd be back in a few weeks with the S for this issue, and showed them the pics. They all agreed they'd be...
As both an enthusiast and track car/race car driver for 25+ years, I would agree with you. Though not for brakes. Most of my cars have a way to change the sensitivity of the throttle, but my foot should modulate the brakes. I want those consistent for muscle memory - especially under evasive...
right. Yours is setup as a key - you just don’t use it. Mine, however, won’t pair with the truck as a key so I don’t get the climate controls / charging / other features.
I have done all of that - including with Rivian on the phone. My R1T is going to the SC tomorrow for them to correct it.
This works fine for my R1S, btw.
I thought about doing the comparison to my Taycan, but it's a little unfair as my Taycan is more than double the price. So I wanted to keep this constructive about what should be improved, and not benchmark it to something that's unrealistic for it's price point and market.
But, since you...
This is where my Taycan does so perfectly. First press of the brakes automatically engages regen. Deeper press (beyond regen capabilities) and the brakes come on to haul the car down. But, doing 75 on the highway, let off accelerator and feel it coast down the hills for a VERY long time...
I would like to explore this a bit. Would you mind posting a screenshot of your setup. You never connected the PAAK to your vehicle at all (Or connected it previously but have it disabled)?
On my R1T, which is missing the PAAK integration, this is all I see on my app window. As you can...
At the end of the day, I might. But to be clear, I wasn't suggesting that these issues are overly serious. I view them as teething issues. All of my other cars have similar quirks.
My R1T has earned a place in my stable. The R1S is still working on it.
I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, so I looked up the definition to be sure. Given the definition of "having or forming a continuous plane or unbroken surface" (from 4a: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/flush), I might choose to argue that I was correct given the break in...
I recently became a Rivian owner of both the R1T and R1S. They are great trucks, but I believe the R1T is truly revolutionary. However, these are products that I believe can be improved. As a fan of both the product and the company, I thought it would be worthwhile to contribute...
Agreed. This would be unacceptable on an SUV at half the price. They are competing in a crowded market.
I've never purchased a Tesla due to their continuing build qualities. Hopefully Rivian can resolve these issues.
The road noise while driving (wind noise) is on par with my Disco. Maybe a little louder but marginal. But you hear other noises in the R1S - the suspension, the air compressor for the suspension is always on if you leave it in Auto (as it adjusts from Standard to Low while on the highway...
This doesn't make it "flush". It simply makes a ramp on the rear. So when you try and put somethign large and flat in (think, monitor box), you now have a gap under the rear where the product rocks.
But these aren't huge issues. Simply things that have already been solved in other cars...
The vehicle itself is great, but I simply don't find the SUV to be differentiating enough relative to others on the market. The R1T is unique, useful and perfectly sized for a truck. I thought I would like the SUV more, but I'm finding that not to be the case.
For example, as a comparison...
Let us know how your appointment goes.
This is unacceptable on a 100k truck in my view. I’m already leaning towards selling the S for other reasons and this would simple add another reason.
So, after loving my R1T I thought I might be better suited to an R1S so I purchased one to replace my truck. I received my new R1S on Saturday and it’s great - save for the gap in the rear door.
Pics are attached, but it seems pretty egregious to me. I have put in a service request, but I’m...
