Maybe I should have added some context to my Tesla manufacturing comments. No other car company has a SpaceX team developing alloys for their cars. No others have the ability or desire for giga castings. Nobody else is developing and improving their processes to increase speed, efficiencies...
I'm a huge Tesla fan and a shareholder. You are only hearing from a minority, who happen to be the loudest, which is usually the case. The vast majority of Tesla fans are electric vehicle fans. We want everyone to succeed.

Ford hasn't released the range numbers yet for the Platinum trim level. (the fine print) It's a $90K truck, certainly has a bigger battery pack then the others. Has more to do with the size of battery and not about software battery management. Just like we can upgrade our battery size.
A 1 month delay to start deliveries is much better than I expected. Every other car manufacturer is shutting down plants and reducing production due to chip shortages. Personally I think the delay could be much worst. They are also probably having problems with finding workers.

I feel for you guys, as someone who only reserved a few weeks ago I can't imagine what some of you are feeling in terms of anticipation and doubts. But don't forget they are probably having a hard time hiring people just like every other company out there.
And don't compare Rivian to Lucid...
