Was it all 45 minutes driving or 20 minutes showing the car at home and 25 minute test drive? I’m planning a route and of course this info will make a difference. My test drive is tomorrow.
What? 4? They had none early this week when I saw that prototype. Someone also reported seeing an Amazon van at the SC in Bellevue. I wonder if First Mile test drives will get scheduled soon here in WA!
We should get those vans in the next month or so. So I will share some details and photos when they arrive. At this point they are being very secretive, but for sure I will get a couple of them this year. Stay tuned!
I saw this evening what is going to be the charger for the new Rivian Delivery vans at an Amazon delivery station. I am no expert when it comes to the different options to charge an EV, nor I own or have owned an EV. My LG R1T will be my first EV. So having said all that, what do you expert...

I did stop by the new service center in Bellevue, WA and snapped these photos. I asked a worker what was their timeline and he looked at me like “in your dreams pal”. No information was provided.
That was my next question. Covering the camera with tape would either trigger an annoying alert (beeping sound) or disable something else. If there is a way to manually turn off the feature, that would be awesome and then there is no need to add tape anywhere.
Or just suck it up and have a...
I just noticed that as part of the Driver+ hardware there is an interior camera looking at the driver to make sure there is full attention on the road. Pretty much like the cameras Amazon is putting in all delivery vans.
"- An interior camera monitors driver attention on the road, enabling...
I was a little disappointed after seeing this. None of this is new and he talked as if all of it was novelty. I wished Rivian would’ve spent a little of Bezo’s money to be there first. Nonetheless it was funny.
I truly believe WA is on the top list for areas, due to the outdoor lifestyle and number of preorders. Regarding the direct sales, I’m sure Rivian has a good card up their sleeve. Mr. Bezos needs to deploy thousands of EVans and I am sure he will make sure we get a service center up and running...
One of my employees, who currently is taking a road trip to Big Bend National Park, saw a truck carrying 3 R1Ts in an Arizona highway. The dude didn’t take a photo (which I criticized immediately) but said they were wrapped in white film. He knows the trucks really well because I don’t stop...
