I have no idea what is going on with Burley. First, tesla puts a bunch of chargers (in a great spot) right off the freeway, and then...decides to put another 12 just a few miles away further in burley? What is going on with Mountain home that has been "pending" on the supercharger map for 5+...
Thanks to OP and others for the instructions! Got my r1t and r1s second horns added....much improved from the travesty of the factory setup.
1st one took a bit over an hour, but second one was 30 minutes flat.
A few notes:
1. For the light plugs on both sides...take your small screwdriver and...
You are right...I did not consider curbside chargers. Regardless...having it passenger front would be a great place for tesla superchargers AND curbside.
Even if they weren't optimizing for tesla supercharger network...why have the cable on the passenger side? Me, as the driver, getting out of the car, why would I want to walk around the car to plug it in? Should be driver side, always. What clear advantage does putting it on the passenger side give?
NO! They put the charge port passenger side rear. If these are getting released in 2026...I hope they update that to either be driver side rear or passenger side front. Would prefer driver side rear. I mean, why ever have something on passenger side? If I'm the driver I don't want to walk around...
Thanks for posting the measurements. I went ahead and installed without the plastic since I'm mainly on pavement. I mean...from those last pics with all of the dirt making its way into the door sills, you are really on a dirt road! I usually find the Rivian much better at sealing dirt away from...
Nice. I just received my R1s rock sliders today and just did the first step of bolting the plates on, then came in for lunch. Thought I should refresh the thread and see this awesome mod!
So...you cut the entire length of the plastic panel.....with I'm sure a lot of trial and error...but it...
Its just a software feature that they haven't prioritized...since...how many 2 rivian households are there? (they would know too.....they have data on how many apps have multiple rivians).
I am one as well....and yes...its annoying but not too bad. Should be added as a feature in the future...
With the update...I feel like city street speed limit detection has greatly improved (it was pretty bad before), but still not nearly as accurate as Tesla. So that is a step forward. But..then they took a step backward by removing setting to speed limit on city streets! (for me that is super...
Sweet! Just about to order a set for my r1t and r1s before winter hits. So...how long before I should place an order? (i.e., I should wait for the website to be updated first?). And..I assume I better buy direct from you instead of ordering through amazon, which will take a while to get your new...
So...I have both a r1s and r1t reservation, both with the binding contracts. R1s due this summer, rt1 due in 2024.
From the sounds of this....it sounds like right now I file my 2022 taxes like normal. Then, after I get the 2023 R1s, I can file an amended 2022 return and ask for the $7500...
OK, so in my Model Y, I only hear noise when accelerating, and the regenerative brakes. I mean, there is a very slight high pitched noise when cruising but...its negligible when compared to the tire and wind noise.
In that youtube video I can definitely hear the regen and acceleration noise...
Could a few of you comment on the motor noise difference in the r1t compared to tesla? I read some other comments that made it sound like the motor was always producing noise, or...at least a very different kind of noise. Like, I would describe the tesla motors as a bit high-pitched futuristic...
