Spitballing again here- Verus have shown on other platforms that their front wheel deflectors have a measurable effect on reducing drag. Perhaps these, combined with a well designed aero cover could produce a more impactful increase in efficiency than covers alone.
Quoting Verus: "The goal of...
I've been poking my friends at Verus Engineering, who are industry experts in the world of performance aero for racing applications. They've got the know-how and the in-house machinery to jump into EV aero parts from end to end, CFD validation testing included. Just need more Rivians on the...
I'd be equally interested in a set of aero covers for the 20" ATs. I already emailed Rimetrix about them and they said they had no plans to offer Rivian wheel covers. :(
They have decent data backing up their products effectiveness.
Based on what I've seen with R1T interior UV testing through the glass roof, it's not very effective just like in Tesla's, we'll see people putting extra tint/UV film on their roof panels in short order.
If only there was a retractable shade for the glass roof panels to protect everything in the interior from "damaging ultraviolet rays" as this cargo cover is supposed to do....
This is posted in the wrong subforum, but the official Atlanta Service Center is supposed to open on Saturday, it's on Defoor Hills RD at the very end of the road. Try stopping by there to see a R1T but don't expect them to offer one up to you as many will likely be customer vehicles awaiting...
Because there's already an 11 page long thread with over 17k views here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/r1s-first-look-videos-from-yosemite-shows-space-available-with-seats-folded-connections-storage.5708/
That looks completely normal given the conditions on that highway. Looks like many sections of urban highway that have pavement undulations every 20-30 feet or so. To me it appears that the air suspension is soaking that up appropriately and the oscillations in the body are not unusual at all...
I've never done this myself, but I have seen this made easier by AMMO NYC in a video showing how they use an electric kettle to heat up water nice and hot to pour over the PPF and soften the adhesive, making it much easier to remove in as few pieces as possible.
That said, these are cool...
Also disappointing for the kiddos: Four cup holders in total. Zero in the third row.
EDIT: These appear to be cup holders but they aren't specified in the section about them. Thanks @drivetorun
