I would certainly be interested in hearing an update on installation, travel, and use. The tent looks small but simple. If it has good mounts and the cover stays on well, it might be a good option.
I'd sit and wait more patiently if they'd release a video of a prototype that is ready/nearly ready for production. I'd just like to have a better idea of what I've purchased and am waiting for. It would feel like progress.
Has anyone tried the Rivigear mount on Amazon yet. I like the Hookplate idea, but worry about it staying on. This seems to be very similar to the Builtright but with a different mount to the hook and is currently in stock.
Not an engineer, but I agree with your assessment. Weight will come down when battery weight comes down. The loss of mass will be from more than the battery given the relationship between battery mass and construction. I have a truck now that has a top crash rating - that would be a requirement...
Am I the only one who just wants more detail on what the build without the tonneau involves? How well sealed is the entry to the slat storage area? I see the button is different, anything else?
After looking at all of the possible combinations, I had to switch my vote to OC vegan leather and BM wood. Wow, that looked amazing, though I also liked the BM vegan leather and OC wood.
Is it a free $20K if you have to pay exorbitant prices for lesser vehicles? It's kind of like a raise equal to COLA just keeps you where you were, not wealthier.
I think of it as a customer loyalty coupon.
I like driving. I'm ok with adaptive cruise control, but I don't want anything else and would simply turn it off. I simply haven't used any available features in the past. I'm with those who find Driver+ (and certainly self driving) the least interesting thing a car offers. Of course I'm happy...
It sure does seem like aerodynamics matter more than weight at high speed. I wonder what the test would look like around town (45mph or less). The answer will likely be a combination of more battery (trailer or tow vehicle) and better trailers. Image below just a more fun version of standard...
Interesting. I wouldn't make that jump. The Grand Cherokee did not impress me when I was test driving and ended up with my 4Runner. I didn't mind the old Cherokees (driven for work), but never felt I'd want to own one. I guess I'd consider jumping ship if Toyota were really in the game, but I'm...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the response of the modern German government and people to their role in WWII and the holocaust has been admirable.
I have hoped, all my life, to be able to support Russia as if it were a European Democracy. There is still hope - Putin won't live forever...
That is understandable and I am not suggesting that Rivian, or its workers, be punished because of a bad decision by Pirelli. They likely do not have an option, but I don't know what their contract looks like or what influence they, or other manufacturers, might be able to have on Pirelli. I...
I'm not going to argue that China doesn't get away with a lot. Will they invade Taiwan if people don't hold Russia accountable for Ukraine? If we don't vote with dollars, how do we impact policies that we view as abhorrent?
I was wondering if Rivian, in seeking to be a socially as well as environmentally responsible company, might offer a different tire option.

I don't know how others feel about this. I know the forum...
When I was working on military bases (natural resources work), they required that we carry two spares. I suppose people could do that if they are really going to get crazy, but I like the idea of carrying a plug kit for minor punctures and calling it a day if you can't repair your flat.
That...
In my view, they should drop the power cover all together if they feel they will devote much under warranty service time to it.
Personally, I'd be happy with the manual cover, but I really want the ventilated seats (heated is less of an issue here) so I don't want to drop the adventure package...
My question is, has anyone seen how much space the manual cover takes up in the gear tunnel? Is there space left for anything else?
I don't know that this matters - we need the ventilated seats (not so much the heated seats) and in our order that includes the automatic cover, but should...
One option would be to just cut the power tonneau as an option all together. I could live with that. Really, the only thing I don't like about the manual cover is that it doesn't store itself as nicely as the powered one when not in place. I think that would be a smart move to save money (and...
The only change I've been looking at is a color change from white to silver. That would be in Rivian's favor if the new prices reflected any actual costs. I'm also happy with white. I think it might be in their interest to make any additions occur at the new prices - maybe with advanced warning...
