I was reading 'Emergency Stuff' over at RivianTrackr (sorry, I'm not really a traitor) and I was a little taken back by the emergency frunk procedure. I was unaware that there is a hidden frunk release cable behind the bumper. I keep a lot of valuable things in my frunk, but as I read it...
Sucks that it happened, but wonderful that they were able to resolve it. Unfortunately, it's just basic statistics - there has to be a portion of the population that gets a bad unit.
Yes, a 2nd driver can unlock the Rivian. But the beauty of the Tesla 'START' command is that you allow anyone, anywhere, to drive the car without a key / paak.
Mine comes up without a hostname (I just changed that in the router), and the Murata OUI (04:c4:61).
Samsung uses Broadcom and Qualcomm wireless chips, and Qualcomm has a collaborative relationship with Murata - the latter providing wireless connectivity modules. So that's probably why your...
Always loved the "START" command in the Tesla app - one could remotely unlock the car for someone, and then turn it on for them. That would totally solve this situation.
Is there a way to have more complicated TOU times? All I see, and all it recommends from my utility provider, is ON at non-peak and off when the rate period ends.
It was, obviously, not for me! I guess I was just expecting a little more bang for the buck from:
"Smart Charging Schedule Recommendation that automatically shifts home charging to off-peak hours for cheaper and cleaner energy with savings of 20 percent or more"
But, if it helps someone (who...
None of these solutions are great. I've used the pet function before, but it doesn't leave the music & internet on and the screen is a little insulting to one's guests. I've left my phone before, but there are times that I need it, so that doesn't work. I've also left the card key, but that...
Downloaded the update - what a laugh! What has Rivian added here (for charging) that is not already printed in my monthly electric bill? Nothing! If you care about the cost of charging, and are aware of what electricity costs, you've already added a charging schedule for the car. This brings...
TOU scheduling is great, but if / when the car can't charge by the time I need to leave it is useless. "Finish by Departure Time" is a must have! It's right up there with Text Messaging....

This is wonderful news! I've had TOU rates at my house for years, and my old Tesla took full advantage of it - wouldn't start charging until after midnight. But in a pinch it would also use 6am to 2pm or 6pm to midnight.

I have a similar crack on my 25 R1T's roof. Just happened to glance up one day and noticed it. No sign of impact on the inside or outside of the roof. The field tech (for the battery bracket recall) said the replacement cost was $3200. I'll ask them about it again next week when it goes in...
