Well, just had my front windshield replaced by Safelite the other day. No issues with installation (for now), seems they did a good job (Safelite in Bellevue, WA), but I made the mistake of driving off to Costco, popping the front hood/frunk, and it refused to close citing object in the way; I...
I'm sure some enterprising young tech savvy person can design a 3D printed plastic pass through that might work better, but that RV cable hatch does pretty well--you do have to twist the charging head when passing it through to outside. And a lockable hatch would be nice.
If I had to do it...
What are folks using for track rail options to expand their tie down/mounting points inside the bed? I mainly would like to have more tie down points, but also want flexibility to mount things like traction boards etc... to the inside of the bed.
Deciding between L-track or T-track. Seems...
anyone w/ the tri fold also have a overlander type rack (like xtrusion overlnd) also installed? I don't think the cover can open up even with a cab (or higher) type rack...
Any XO rack owners know if their racks are compatible with Agricover hard tri-fold? I have one, and the lip sits onto the bed edge a bit, which it looks like the XO rack may have clearance for...
Hey man,
I ordered 2 of your phone ball mount EVOs, and I've send 2 communications via your website about how 1 of them had the plastic deform when installing it. The black plastic is on the verge of cracking, it's turned white.
Anyhow, have you received my messages? My order #4618.
Also...
Grats on you R1S! I thought about the twrap flaps too, I think the large would work and maybe even look better... from the websites that sell the Rally Armors for the T, they say it won't fit the S version
Have you tried these on your R1S yet? I'm wondering the same thing. I actually have a set on my R1T, and have a R1S about to arrive, and was thinking about going this route (again)...
I have a set on my R1T, and had a set for 4 yrs on my prior F150. They do look great new; after ~4 yrs of daily use up in the Pacific Northwest, they did begin to show a little wear on the "carpeted" part, but overall, they do look better than the Weathertech mats (whose quality, IMHO, has gone...
I've been waiting on my rockslider from EVS for the past ~5 months. TBH, depending on how urgent you need it (i.e. if you plan to do any serious off roading this summer), the best one is the most available, but they all appear to be significantly back ordered.
I was seriously looking at the...
I did full frontal Xpel Ultimate PPF w/ Accutint in Bellevue. Came out great, their prices were competitive, no troubles. Full factory Xpel warranty, for what that's worth.
I had front windows and front windshield w/ Rudy at Mr. Tint and Sun. Ol' dependable. Rudy does quality work.
My R1T will end up being parked outside almost exclusively. So when it came time to install the charger, my idea was to just have it inside and run the cable under the garage door, rather than installed permanently outside.
After a few sessions of charging and seeing how it was pinching the...
thanks...I think that little cutout in the back of the front wheel doesn't appear to serve any purpose, other than looking cool. It can't be for any brake cooling purpose, and really just serves as a funnel for rocks and dirt to come up and pepper that part of the car panel. Maybe I'm wrong...
I had actually installed some RallyArmor mud flaps, which have the cutout for the slits, and thought about putting some window screen mesh material bonded to the mud flap...but got lazy and just slapped the mud flaps on. I think a mesh might be a good idea...
Congrats on the R1S. We picked our R1T up from the same service center last week, though we hurried out of there in <1h. Our guide was pleasant and helpful, but we planned on figuring it out ourselves anyhow...
This is our 1st EV, and am loving the driving experience. Was sad to see my...
I put PPF on most of my vehicles so that ensures the paint looks great for the next owner!
IN all seriousness, I find PPF on a work/utility vehicle not a great return on investment. YMMV.
It's too bad the tonneau cover are separate panels that you have to pull out individually, rather than something like a BakFlip folding design. I had one on my Ram 1500, and the folding design was invaluable for bed access. It shouldn't be too hard to do, they just need to design a insert...
I very much doubt Rivian is making much on these trades--they are not a used car dealer, so they probably sell them off at auction or wholesaler is my guess...
