yes, and i'm not sure how he got one. He told me he bought four from a supplier... as stated, it literally hooks up the exact same way except it can't connect to my account
Got resolution on the charger... Basically, this is the deal:
The charger I bought(off ebay) is a waypoint charger. It lacks the ability to connect to my Rivian account(according to Rivian). It does work to charge the truck at 11kw, so all is not lost. The seller actually refunded me the cost...
It will pair, but the next step, when it tries to link to the account… that’s where I get the message in the OP. Every time I try to link it, I have to go in and forget the wall charger then reset the breaker then try the process again. Same result
Is it linked to your account? Directly after it pairs w the phones bluetooth, it tries to link to my rivian account, thats when it fails. I'm assuming connecting it to your wifi network comes after this step?
Tried it again today(idk why I thought a few hrs would make a difference). Same thing, reset the breaker, then it boots up, finds the charger on the app, pair via bluetooth, then when it tries to link to my Rivian account, I get this: "setup failed, theres a problem on our end, try again".
Tried all this, yes the cable is connected. I also submitted a ticket w Rivian Service. I’ll try again today. Thanks for the help so far, you guys are great
Whats going on knowledgable people? So, installed the Rivian wall charger today, works, comm cable is connected. I am having a failed setup when is tries to sync with my Rivian account. I can't get past this. Any ideas?
