I know nothing of how GVWR is calculated, but wouldn't Dual be less than Quad by weight of motors?
Man, that would be cool. R1T is 32 lbs over the "car" (into truck) weight for the tax credit here in CO. The end of this year is wonky for tax credits and trucks take a hit.
My comment was more to the point that I've been in construction my whole life and I'm not sure I've ever seen a project, residential or commercial, that was completed by the date shown on the original bid documents.
If this construction journal bid invite is correct, the Cheyenne, WY is currently under construction and set to be finished by 11/10/23. Those of us in construction (and likely everyone else) knows to be very skeptical of those dates....

I don't believe there is a RAN in Cheyenne? There is a decent level 2 charger at the Target that I noticed finally opened and people are reporting good results. I think there's also a Tesla charger there.
There's definitely a Tesla Supercharger in Wheatland and I'm hoping that gets opened up by...
I'm saying that I have an appointment scheduled to pick up my R1T on 11/7 (so 12 days)
I just reached out to the guy who scheduled my appointment and he said it looks like this was an automated email that got sent to everyone with open ticket but we are still on track for my appointment on 11/7...
If you're in an area with a lot of Rivians (SoCal or Denver) they seem to disappear quickly. I'm blaming this thread (which is also what started me looking...)
So All Terrain Package gets "Soft Sand"? Cool, I didn't know that. That's what mine will be when it gets here in a month. Though I have no idea when I would ever use "soft sand" in Colorado. I don't think they let you drive in Sand Dunes NP!
My Dad always told that was still a lie.
And to the person who said, "you get what you pay for". You're right. You get 2 more motors and a bunch more drive modes. AS ADVERTISED.
This is horseshit. But I'm holding out hope for a bug. Doesn't really make sense.

I won't have my R1T for another month and I've never driven an EV. I see the above statement all the time on here and it always makes me wonder - wouldn't this cause the 7k lb. vehicle to just coast down the mountain with no "check" on the speed? When I'm going down a snowy pass with an...
