Trust me, I hope that's the case. But yesterday frightened me.
Back on topic...the OP has a GREAT point here. It feels like Rivian should lock people into their truck choice Adventure/Explorer, but let them continue to decide on color and interior. Easy fix.
Respectfully, I'm not sure why you guys keep assuming there's a market for a $90K+ Rivian truck!1? Just yesterday there was a MASSIVE TIDAL WAVE of cancelations citing, "Rivian just priced me out...I'm canceling". AND, that's assuming they could have easily gone with a lower-end model (which...
OK, cool, so I'm not the only one who saw that!
When they fix all this, we'll have to check our configurations again. Questions now arise on the tow hooks and possibly powered cover.
Right, but what I'm saying is isn't it odd they didn't "add" it to my "re-priced" truck? Make sense? I had an Adventure package, so by default, I'm surprised to see they didn't add the power cover. I'm wondering if anyone else spotted that.
Hey guys, I noticed something interesting when the "price increase" happened. I had an Adventure package on pre-order, which of course included the power tonneau. However, when they "re-adjusted" my pricing, they didn't add the $3000 power tonneau cover. Make sense? That power tonneau became...
You guys, before you get too excited about a discounted truck with instant equity, remember a ton of us were going to cancel because we couldn't afford the truck anymore. AND no one wanted to compromise for a lesser truck.
You think this logic won't apply to all other prospective buyers in the...
Yeah, assuming Rivians sell at the high price point.... Most of us said we couldn't afford it and were NOT willing to get a lower end model. Don't forget how quickly that changed. It does no good to have a car worth 90k is no one wants to buy it. Man, it's amazing how quickly the tune changes.
We can't act like sheep now... We just got bent over, molested, then kissed on the cheek to make it better.
RJ was going to crush Rivian forever over this. It was his only decision.
Personally, I feel a little sick and a very strong distrust in Rivian right now. I'd love a truck, but can I...
My man...your comment just made my day! Sell my Rivian stock and buy a membership at the local country club and use my new set of clubs. I'll put little stickers of Rivian trucks on my balls (giggidy). ?
I don't think anyone is threatening to damage a Rivian...that's absolutely 100% rediculous. My guess is buyers may look like rich scabs for a while. Unfortunately, there will be a Rivian stigma for a bit. Maybe stink eyes by reservation cancelers and people in the know, but doubt anyone is...
You're entitled to your opinion! I bet you love it when I say that, don't ya... ?
The point is this truck now has a stinky stigma. If you don't mind that, enjoy your Rivian, Sir.
