  4. California SOLD - 21" Wheels for Sale

I understand your point, but It really depends on your intent. This a great deal for spares. If you buy a new 21" wheel it's well over $1000 with tax. All my tires have plenty of tread for use as spares, or switching out a damaged wheel, etc. A new set of 21" is $3,700 plus tax.
  5. California SOLD - 21" Wheels for Sale

I live in Central California and I have a set of (4) 21" wheels from my R1T for sale. They are in great condition with about 11,000 miles on them. There are no scratches or curb rash. I also have the aero inserts. I haven't measured the tread depth, but there is plenty of tread left -...
  6. Your experience stopping on snow, on a downslope hill?

I'm going to skip conserve mode in the snow for sure, but your experience at the traffic light concerns me. Maybe you just slid on an icy spot? I'm heading up this weekend and plan to push my R1T around in the snow until I get comfortable with the right drive train and it's capabilities.
  7. Your experience stopping on snow, on a downslope hill?

This is a fantastic article by Wes Stiler (Outside online) that answered a lot of winter tire questions for me and I believe thatI it's open to non-subscribers. In addition to a good breakdown on types types, he also described the M+S rating and the 3-snowflake rating system. The Best Winter...
  8. Your experience stopping on snow, on a downslope hill?

I'm very interested in this topic as well. Heading to Tahoe this Weeknd with 20" AT Tires. I've recently re-read the R1T manual and the recommendation is to use "All Purpose" mode in snow. Conserve is not recommended because it's two-wheel drive (front Wheel). Sand mode looks promising to me...
  9. Truckee CA Rivian Charging Station Now Open

249 miles/hr, but I was nearly at 70% and slowing down. I took a screen shot during charging.
  10. Truckee CA Rivian Charging Station Now Open

5-6, including ADA and trailer spot. Coffee shop, ski, bike and other services right in the same parking lot. Good food across the street.
  11. Truckee CA Rivian Charging Station Now Open

Thanks! I believe that there is a Rivian charging station in Bishop that is well positioned on 395 to help with Mammoth trips. If you’re kids are mountain bikers, then they will love visiting Paco’s in the Truckee parking lot while you charge. They have a great ski and bike shop just steps...
  12. Truckee CA Rivian Charging Station Now Open

I happen to be driving by the new Rivian charging station in Truckee today, right as the technicians were pulling the cones away. I asked when the station would be open and one of the technician said in 3 minutes! They were excited to have their first customer and I gladly obliged by charging...
  13. 20” Blizzak snow tires installed

I'm really looking forward to hearing about your experience in the snow with your R1T and the Blizzak LT's!
  14. Stock Rivian R1T Wheels Comparison (20" AT, 21" Road, 22" Sport) Range and Efficiency Test --by OutOfSpec

I only drove around my neighborhood, but I did notice that the mileage didn't drop as much as it normally does in tow-mode. I report back when I do a longer trip.
  15. Stock Rivian R1T Wheels Comparison (20" AT, 21" Road, 22" Sport) Range and Efficiency Test --by OutOfSpec

Seemed to be OK except for backing-up. I didn't have enough to torque to push the trailer and boat. For driving long distances on the freeway that won't matter.

I'm really interested in your experience above. I've had a couple long tows from Monterey Bay to Tahoe this past summer and I used the Tow Mode. When I asked a Rivian Rep if I could use Conserve Mode, I was told by the Rep not to do it because the truck would not be as safe. I never used tow...
