Following up on my note above for those with a Thule Big Mouth bike rack :
Thule does make an adapter kit which works great
The other racks folks posted look great, but I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money when I already have the Thule racks.
This adapter set will also work well for the...
im curious - what did you do to adapt the Thule Big Mouth to fit the Rivian. Ross bars? Is there an adapter on the market?
I have locking Thule Big mouths and like them. Was disappointed when I learned they don’t fit the rivian cross bars.
Trying to find a solution …
Thanks
Following up on my earlier note, I am now the proud owner of an R1T with an Operating PTC :).
I was scheduling June in the Brooklyn SC. The truck was in there for several weeks and want to compliment the guys at the SC. While it was there , they noticed a few other issues that they took care...
Great News - makes my day :)
I think having a better SC network will improve their adoption and sales
Brooklyn to serve the tri-state and beyond just doesn't make any sense to me ...
My R1T was delivered 18 months ago with a non-functioning Power Tonneau. I accepted the vehicle with the promise and understanding that Rivian was going to Fix/Replace the broken unit. I was also told that I am not allowed to take it apart and try to repair it myself or I forfeit any...
OMG - That's crazy. My wife backed in the Rivian and I need to get it repaired. Tried PDR, but they were unable to fix it. Planning to get one of the Rivian certified centers to give me a quote, but after reading this am thinking I go to regular body shop since I will be paying out of pocket...
wow - I wish he was in NJ/PA area. I was hit in the back as well and not have great success with the PDR. I now need to make a decision on full body work, or try to find a better PDR specialist
Totally agree - been "asking" for this in the "what do you want in next OTA" ... nice workaround, but shame that we have to do a workaround for something as simple as this
Im in the same boat - mine hasn't worked since I received the vehicle. Not having a tonneau makes my bed unusable.
Separately, I learned the reason mine is broken is not because of the tonneau itself, but rather a damaged track. because fo the track, the slats will not slide on the...
perhaps I'm old school, but not comfortable squeezing into tight spaces looking at the screen - that said, I do use the cameras as much as I can.
Regarding that, I would find it helpful if the visual for the sensors (radar warned for how close you are to an object when parking) was on the...
I still long for Valet mode which would prevent someone for accessing locked areas of the vehicle (Frunk and Tunnel). Living in the NY/Philly area, I have to valet park in the city and always have to empty my car because I can't lock things in it
I also would've to have the passenger mirror...
Im in the same boat - my truck was delivered in Sept without a function tonneau making the bed useless - very happy to hear there is finally something out there to resolve this issue
I've yet to see any of these on the East Coast - or anywhere I travel for that matter - would love it they built out the network for Rivian owners with the extra revenue they will generate from opening it to the masses
I had a scary situation at Christmas, but fortunately didn't totally drain ... was down in the dingle digits. Since then, I turn off Gear Guard, and close the app on my phone so I am not pinging the vehicle - possibly coincidence, but both appear to take a significant hit on the battery. When...
Still waiting for Valet mode ?
I would also love to have my passenger mirror tilt down when in reverse to keep from scraping tires on curbs. I’m surprised we don’t have this now since it is common on virtually every new car
