I confirmed configuration last night on a shop R1. You’d essentially lease a vehicle with an initial total value of $18,000 less than w/o voucher. So I believe it’s applied to both payment and residual-could be wrong.
Lease noob here. But I’m considering this now that prehike orders are included, the monthly would be <$700/month. I don’t want to end up owning an antique valueless EV within a few short years with all of the quickly evolving technology, out of warranty with unrealistic repair costs.
How does...
In a similar situation amongst other things but I’d be willing to pay for it. Impending comments “pre price hike reservations really shouldn’t be honored anymore” or “I suspect Rivian is going to give you a deadline” etc.
I was actually being serious. Can we really not rest our elbow on the dang thing without denting the hood or door panel? Or was that guy just being dramatic?
Glad you found that interesting! I’ll continue to take advantage as long as I need to and/or am permitted to. I don’t expect nor demand guarantees. I may decide to purchase 2-3rd qtr this year, but given an ultimatum right now-I certainly wouldn’t pay the updated pricing.
People have been saying they’ll give original reservation holders an ultimatum for >1 year. Some of us just aren’t ready for various reasons. I don’t think Rivian is going to boot potential/almost guaranteed buyers. But I do find it interesting Rivian owners have the fever dream that they will.
I’m not upset about it but actually agree with you. Wish they’d offer leasing to preorders. Yes, we still exist. Someone mentioned it wouldn’t be profitable for them since there is no guarantee of purchase at lease expiration…well neither is selling the vehicle at $80k. That makes no sense. It’s...
Might help if you provide everyone with some examples of which trucks you consider looking “manly”. Also, what does your presence in a tourist meca have anything to do with the thread?
Realizing this isn’t the norm…I think, it’s still just one more reason why I refuse to take delivery in 2023 as my daily driver. There’s no way in hell I’d ever have time for any of this annoying stuff.
