Interesting. I am in the Seattle area and ordered right when you did but an Explore package and also got second half of '23.. I guess changing to a Adventure trim won't make any sooner.

“Your Explore Package R1S estimated delivery window will be the second half of 2023.” I’m a 9/21 preorder and had already changed my configuration to adventure trim. Clearly the system hasn’t caught that change.

owned an X5 with a split hatch and loved it. Bottom could not be opened without the top open as it latched thru it. Im assuming the R1S is the same. Also liked how it prevented scratches on the bumper and wasn't as high as you think for reaching over it.
