Another Maryland R1T here who confirmed config last week. Not matched to VIN so waiting on 8-step.
Adventure, Large, ElCap, BM, 20 A/T. April 2022 Order.
I'm excited to see your R1S around the neighborhood. I'm in North Potomac, MD w/ in-laws in Potomac proper. My wife spotted another Launch Green R1S last Thursday near the Kentlands.
More and more R1T's showing up as well.
Where do you find your order number? We ordered an R1S in Feb 2020. The config summary URL has 42745. I don't think we were order 45K+ at that time. My R1T ordered in April 22 is a 9 digit number.
I'm surprised they are doing R1S 1st mile for those who already had an R1T 1st mile drive. Exciting. We have a Feb 2020 preorder for LE R1S. 1st Half 2023 delivery window. Curious if we will see another 1st mile.
I'm in SF on a business trip and meetings end pretty early this afternoon. Is the SSF service center one you can show up to and see vehicles? Online it looks like there is a lobby etc. I would LOVE to see a R1S in person.
I used them on my first-mile and remember them being amazing. Much better than the Durango. I think on Munro they said they are truly part of the air-conditioning ducting system and not just fans pulling cabin air through the seat.
That is a bummer. I wonder how it will impact local delivery timelines. Maybe this was known for awhile and thats why our R1S delivery date went from June/July to 1st half of 2023 rather than just pushing to later in 2022 like other June/July deliveries did.
1. I'm glad its not part of the vehicle price. We wouldn't use it. It would collect dust and spider webs in the garage.
2. Anyone else notice that the 3rd row seat belts are missing from the pictures with the cover deployed and 3rd row seats flat? Are the 3rd row belts retractable somewhere?
Width: Wider.
Height: Roof height same. (Cargo bars on Rivian probably the same or lower than Frontier cargo bars.)
Length: Longer.
R1T was in standard ride height.
I will probably have to swap sides of garage with wife as house entrance is on my side and additional length will be tight...
The biggest miss by Rivian on the R1S is lack of external button to open the hatch and an internal button to close it. Who wants to pull something out of their pocket or purse to operate the hatch.
I dont understand why Rivian doesn't pull the motor from the powered cover and adapt it to push in and pull out manually with a lock position at either end. Similar operation to retractable tonneau covers on the market today, like GatorTrax.
