Thanks for sharing your story. Itās so odd that we had such a simple and positive 8-step process. When we picked up our truck in Normal we had (1) Virginia DMV Title/Registration form to sign, and (1) power of attorney each. No notary. We might have been required to sign for the Illinois drive...
Literally the first thing you wrote:
āIāve mentioned this in a few other threads, but there really needs to be some way to turn on/off the truck in the traditional sense.ā
And the proximity lock/unlock works fine. You can simply close the app after the vehicle locks and it wonāt unlock if you...
After reading parts of this thread I think thereās some user error going on here..
Weāve had our truck a month and put 2,000 miles on it and havenāt had a single issue with PAAK working flawlessly. We never carry the fob.
Pull into a parking spot, push park, walk away, car locks. You must...
Lock the truck. You can do this with the phone. This isnāt complicated and does not require the fob. Is your PAAK setup correctly?
Our truck locks every time we walk away. We donāt do anything. You can also do this manually in the app.
The vehicle doesnāt need a physics button.
We just got back to NOVA (DC) from South Carolina, driving up 95. R1T on 20ās we were able to get up to about 2.3 mi/kWh in conserve mode. It was just under 2 in all purpose at standard ride height. Average speed over the 381 miles was 66. Temps were in the 60ās in S. Carolina and 40ās closer...

Fortunately the phone works for us. We do carry the key cards in our wallets, but I haven't had to use it. We just used our fob for the first time this week when the truck was in for PPF. We also have the wrist band at home somewhere, but have yet to use it.
This hits the mark. Bluetooth is notoriously problematic.
I have not had a problem with the PAAK with our R1T, but Bluetooth in general can be finicky at times.
A few things to consider:
January/February are traditionally the slowest months of the year for car sales.
TSLA didn't deliver as many cars in Q4 as they had hoped (or analysts expected)
TSLA was offering the discount and free charging incentives even as other automakers weren't offering any...
I have seen reports of it both ways. Truck at SC or in transit and 8-steps opens. I think there are a lot of variable that come into play right now as they try to ramp and get vehicles delivered asap.
The reason they donāt want you to pay without a delivery date is that if it fails the...
If the 8-steps opened it should be at the service center, but it may not have the pre-delivery inspection complete. Thatās the step that opens up step 8. This is why they are telling folks not to pay for the vehicle or insurance until you have a delivery date.
It all depends on where you truck is and when they open up step 8. Your guide might be able to give you some insight, but that last step is in the hands of the delivery team. Once that step opens youāll have to find an available delivery slot. Depending on whether thatās home delivery or SC...
Having been in the factory and seeing where they QC vehicle coming off the line I have no idea how they missed this. Every vehicle goes on a lift, unless they're randomly not doing every vehicle. Hope they get this fixed for you soon.

We're doing front half XPEL PPF, PPF on the door sills and top of the tailgate above the badging. Ceramic over the entire truck. $3k. They run sales/promos frequently and they gave us a "returning customer" discount as well.
Forest Green looks really good in person.
Speaking of used cars, that was a major motivator to get the R1T ASAP. In October when we looked at online offers for our ā19 Macan they were great. By mid-December when we were getting our R1 the prices had fallen considerably. Oddly, we got an...
Iāve watched many Munro videos for all types of cars. Iām not sure if Iām an OEM Iād hire them after watching some of their nit pics. Maybe if Iām building a cheap, mass market car that I need to pump out a million units, but I have concerns about some of their comments. And itās not just with...
