Our long range model 3 (2018) gets 44mph from Tesla wall charger and the R1T, using the adapter from same charger gets around 25mph
Edit...just plugged in so no preconditioninf but getting 25-27mph @48amps
I would this is quite defeatist and the threat of canceling may work wonders. Even losing the deposit would be a win since you'd get the Tonneau for far less than when the stop the $500. Worst your only $500 out of pocket!
I would imagine it simply the case that if you use 3rd party adapter (I will be doing this, ordered the A2Z) and it is faulty and causes damage that's not Rivians fault, same as any other products you use.
Sticking with Lectron or A2Z is safest option as they are both considered reliable and...
I have the R1T and the motor sound is def. pronounced (my Tesla is silent) but only at low speed, as I approach 20+ it begins to go away and by 30 can't hear it at all really. This was same as the demo drive I did year before so I assume normal.
Just adding for comparison.
J1772 is only the charging standard as it applies to the electrical connection, when plugin in there are more than just that going on. The CCS comms for example

Admit it, how many of us do the Rivian Turn Signal Duck (maybe a quack would be lounder?) to visually verify it's on or not
We are going on a cross country trip in July so the news was great and spent some time last night messing with routes, however I also noticed that no matter what options I selected/hid in the map menu it always navigated and included the same charge stops.
Maybe it's a temp issue while they...
I was putting together a car play setup using an old ipad for wifes Tesla when i realozed that all she actully wants is to have Waze.
I wonder how often when people say carplay they just mean a single app they use a lot and can be done via ipad mini and mount+ hotspot
Missed your initial post, but glad I saw this as I'm def interested as I fully intend to tow my travel trailer. I had the huge aftermarket tow mirrors on chevy (traded in for the R1T) and was already scanning Amazon or alternatives.
I also have a 3D printer so could help in that department if...
Ah that won't work I'm afraid. It's a well known scientific law that the says...
