lolwut???
The design and manufacturing of this product is already done, just sell the damn thing lol. I'd rather have the key band more so than a stuffed gear guard yeti thing.
The R1T is already Taco sized, it's only a couple inches different from an equivalent Taco. I'd imagine the R2 line will be heavily SUV focused with something along the lines of a Model Y/Mach E rather than a pickup truck. That said, the Maverick and Santa Cruz have been huge sales successes...
I got a confirm configuration notice in early November, spoke to my guide and confirmed mid November. Then radio silence until late December when I got a VIN match and started the 8 steps. Guide said the truck was still finishing production and would be 3-4 weeks before it could be transported...
Just got the update last night. Does the keyfob automatically update? I didn't get a notification or opportunity to update my fob for either this update or the one before it. The tray my fob sits in inside my house is probably ~8ft from the truck so it may be in range to automatically update...
I use YT Music over bluetooth. It doesn't sound amazing but it's fine. I like YT Music because you get YT video ad free for free along with it. Have thought about switching to Spotify but this is working fine for now.
Bring up the screen for door/tailgate/gear tunnel/charge port controls when the vehicle is put in park like Tesla does. Either that or overlay it onto the screen. It would be nice to have that pop up right away rather than having to go into another screen to get it.
2 days at least, 3 would be ideal. You probably can do it in a day with a well modified Jeep but it wouldn't be a whole lot of fun. If you want a one day trip that's relatively easy, check out 7 mile rim and chicken corners.
^ This is what I'd recommend. I don't tow a long ways or have a specific need for long range but I do have a big need for winter traction (as does everyone in this thread lol) so I went with the AT tires. My second choice was 22's with dedicated snow tires and was even on the fence for 20"...
I toggle BT off and on.
To be clear, the PaaK does "work" in that it will eventually unlock the truck but I end up standing there like a gomer for 30s-1min waiting for my brand new $75k truck to unlock itself. Especially sucks when it's cold out, raining, snowing, holding my kid, etc.
I got my mats over the weekend and got the fronts installed. They still have the little spikes over the plastic parts (dumb) that I have yet to cut off but intend to do so soon. They don't look amazing but they do seem to be durable and easy to clean while being able to hold water when needed...
I have an open ticket with Rivian about the PaaK issues I'm having. So far they've only told me to do the log out of app, reboot phone, reboot truck, log back into the app (didn't work) and then told me to remove battery optimization for the Rivian app (didn't work) and now I'm going to try and...
Just remembered I never updated the resolution of this! Apparently the rear passenger half shaft popped out of the rear motor disconnect and started grinding. I guess this is a known issue? In any case, they replaced both the half shaft and the disconnect as well as tightened it all down to...
Uhh...pretty sure the top speed rating is to make sure you're within a reasonable safety margin for the tires that have a 130mph max limit more so than the motor speed. A 10% margin for the drivetrain is painfully small and would likely result in a lot of failures in the long run, definitely...
My wood shop is being built out right now (DIY and trying to fit it in between my day job and family) but I plan on trying to match the interior wood as soon as I'm up and running. If I can get it to match I'll let you know. I do agree that if the look is off even a little, it'll look bad as...
The PaaK is literally my least favorite part of this whole thing, it rarely works consistently. On top of that, even the fob never consistently works. It's annoying to pull out the fob and hit the unlock button. The truck should at least recognize the fob when I'm next to the door like it...
I just hope this update provides some benefit to the stupid key fob and phone key. I shouldn't have to constantly pull out my fob and click a button to unlock an advanced EV made in 2022. My 2018 VW did a better job of this than the Rivian, it is beyond annoying.
