Agreed -our cabin is in the Bethel area and would be great to have more opportunities to charge in this area. Our PV at the cabin is only enough for some lights and small fridge
Thank you for this info. Our third row will be folded 99% of the time as out dog crates will be there. Original config was 2-row until that was discontinued. Hopefully the control /memory issues can be solved by a software update
o_O that's where our dog crates will go... and no sunshade for the roof. I will be asking about this during our first mile test drive on Monday. Could actually be a deal breaker.
interesting, Apple filed for a Vehicle to vehicle charging patent a few years back as part of their project Titan. IIRC, Apple's allowed MOVING vehicles to interconnect to share charge
I received this email today as well. It was as expected until I followed the provided link and read the last item on the list of "factors" that can affect your delivery schedule. This is what it says:

Darn. Im waiting for an R1S and have my purchase price locked at $79,000. How do they come up with $73,000 as opposed to just using the federal tax rebate amount of 80? And why specify pickups as opposed to “truck” which could include SUV?
Apple as a potential buyer is very unlikely . They have been looking for a manufacturing partner with proven ability for mass production. I recall reading they had discussions with Hyundai and BMW. I can't imagine they would be interested in Rivian as they just don't have the skills...
You use the term "house" but it is not a house. it is a remote cabin with a total electrical load of less than 200 watts from LED lighting and a portable refrigerator. There is a also vehicle charging at a town about 10 miles away
Doesn’t seem strange to me… why pay for a PV system if we only need power when we are there and we arrive with a giant battery? Keep in mind this is a remote wilderness cabin we built largely by ourselves and not a house.
V2H is a major issue for us and one of the reasons we placed a deposit in the first place. We are building a 700 sq ft remote off-grid cabin on a ridge in western Maine (will finish this year!). Access is by an old logging road and there is a stream to ford at times in the spring. We have...
Yes, I suggested that when the colored lighting was immediately removed after the holiday. I wish I was wrong but it still seems obvious to me that they plan to charge for that "option". I think it very unlikely they will charge for things that owners already have access to as that could be...
