Here is another thread on the Goodyear tire designed for Rivian.

The Goodyear Rivian has 2 tread plies.
Off-road performance was a consideration in the Goodyear design, but efficiency was a higher priority than extreme off-road performance. I think the majority of customers will be very happy with the balance of performance and efficiency.

As a Goodyear tire designer, I can confirm that Goodyear has a ton of faith in the tire designed for Rivian. As mentioned in other threads, it is typical of tire manufactures to not have a treadwear warranty for tires designed for specific OE vehicles. A pro-rated warranty does not guarantee a...
I've been happy with the efficiency and all around performance of my Goodyear Territory AT 275/60R20. I'm at 2.51 mkh (~2.44 considering 3% OD difference). Dual Performance, mostly All-Purpose mode and mix of city and highway. It's a great mix between All-Season and All-Terrain performance.
Goodyear offers other 275/65R20 options, but I highly recommend the Rivian-specific 275/60R20 Territory AT. Hopefully, Rivian will eventually make it easier to update our vehicles to accommodate new tire sizes. I have a service appointment next week to adjust to the correct 33” OD for the...
Goodyear typically does not offer a treadwear warranty on tires designed for OEMs. This is common among most tire manufacturers.
If a tire does come with a pro-rated warranty, it does not necessarily mean it will last longer than one without a warranty.
A certain Tommy Boy quote about guarantees comes to mind, haha. I would love to hear how the Goodyear stacks up against the Nokian on an apples to apples comparison.
I may be biased, but the fact that the Goodyear tire was designed specifically for the Rivian makes it a great choice for the R1. I am not familiar with the off-road performance of the Nokian or what on-road tradeoffs it might have. The Goodyear tire will hold it's own off-road and it will excel...
The Pirelli is an expensive option! It is interesting that they have chosen to advertise a 50k mile warranty when purchased as a replacement tire. The majority of OE tires sold for replacement do not have a specific treadwear warranty.
Tire Rack now has images of the Rivian specific Goodyear...
Rivian describes the tire as an All Season option. Goodyear calls it an AT. It is a mix of both AS and AT, but rolling resistance and efficiency were the top priority for this tire.
After chatting with Rivian service a few times, I finally have an appointment at my local service center on Aug 15th to calibrate my odometer and speedometer to the correct 33" tire OD. At this time, Rivian is not specifically able to update to the Goodyear 275/60R20, but when it hits the Gear...
Correct, as @racekarl and @LL75 mentioned, the 21" tire has the same 33" Outer Diameter as the 275/60R20 so the odometer and speedo will not need calibrated.
No worries. All the different Goodyear Territory options for various OE applications are lumped under the same reviews for the Wrangler Territory. There are very few of the Rivian specific Goodyear tires in the wild and likely none of the online reviews are for this specific tire. Also, anyone...
Goodyear uses the Wrangler Territory line to tune tires specifically for new Original Equipment vehicles. The OE Territory line is different from a replacement tire line (i.e. Wrangler DuraTrac) with multiple sizes and different performance priorities. Goodyear does make multiple replacement...
Goodyear uses the Wrangler Territory line to tune tires to perform well on a specific vehicle for OEMs. The Territory line is different from a replacement tire line (ie Wrangler DuraTrac) with multiple sizes
I only had ~280 miles on the OE Pirelli before swapping them over to the Goodyear tire...
