it's 2900 Walnut St...drove past Friday and in the area again tomorrow. the big lot behind the building is all cleared out, but otherwise no visible progress. Not sure they even have an approved permit.
As long as they are building the vehicles they will be fine. I assume they use the preorder data and build the most popular colors (White, Silver, etc.) already (see vehicles spotted out on the road) and interior configurations (black and ocean). Wheels can be swapped (some companies swapped...
The R1S is a $77k 830 HP AWD SUV with a lot of equipment we already know about like ventilated/heated seats, panoramic roof, excellent sound systems and so on...try to price this vs a BMW X7, Mercedes GLS, Range Rover, etc. which look/feel similar to the R1S and take their big engines to compare...
In Colorado too and hope we are high on the list for several reasons:
1) lots of charging locations announce for CO
2) top off-road and adventure destination
3) pretty straight delivery path from Normal and Denver could well be a distribution hub
4) jobs for service people seem to have been...
The Colorado jobs for several service and customer experience roles seem also fo be filled...they are still showing on their website, but when clicking on them they are no longer active. Odds seem to stack up in Colorado’s favor...??
Keeping it simple...just got MY R1S (on a ski country speciality plate) like the HP plate but made no sense until we actually know how much power the car has.
Drove by last week. Lot is completely cleared out by prior tenant and there were a bunch of contractors and surveying people there taking measurements and walking around with blueprints.
This is about as flat as I have seen in any car. Looks great. good to see how many cars they are getting ready to send out for testing. The screen up front looks big too...
